Honestly great stuff, as someone who is contientious that I lose to minutiae since I do have gaps in my knowledge, and tunnel vision great to see these types of vids that pan the camera out a little and kind of explain why certain things happen, as in the moment it can be so easy to miss.. Love to see more =D

Thanks! Yea I feel like this kind of stuff isn't as available as I'd like. Usually people talk about more technical stuff rather than the psychological aspect.

@@Dagger_G yea its all part of the game, like I'll even admit there are many a time because of being contientious of bad execution and spacing a player I FELT I should win against was able to get a good read on it, keep setting the same circular suitations and ride the frustration to victory.. You don't think it's part of the game, until you keep losing to it >.>.....

superb work, gonna have to keep watching through all your stuff. also happy to see you beat someone calling a game they're playing ass. I really hate that, personally. by all means people should like and play what they want it's just, I'm not gonna cheer for you to win in a game you can't even pretend to like or care about. master of the snake style!!

Hey man, this was a very interesting video! Indirectly, it might help me with some of my mental stability problems while playing. Question: At 13:39 you mention Yi makes another "failed super attempt" but I'm seeing him performing a shoryu (P button versus sa3 K button). How so?
@Dagger_G Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thank you so much for the comment! I'm glad you found it helpful. To answer your question: Yi had an opportunity to convert into super but the awkward and unexpected initial hit caused him to hesitate for a split second, and instead go into a dp because it was faster to input than the super that he wasn't ready for, but it was already too late. The other explanation would be that he knew the super was already a bust so he went for the dp to stuff a reverse tick, or tech grab attempt. I hope that makes sense!

I prefer to call the snake technique “Monkey see, Monkey do.”
@Dagger_G2 жыл бұрын
It actually is a real thing. You can see it in a lot of kickboxing or mma fights where a fighter will throw a technique and the opponent immediately retaliates with a similar technique. I think it has something to do with the neurons in the brain for that particular technique being lit up and increasing the chances of deciding to use it as an option.
@Zaybuhr2 жыл бұрын
@@Dagger_G I agree it’s definitely real, it’s a technique I like to use a lot myself. When I’m in a voice call and I do it I always like to say Monkey see Monkey do.

@@Zaybuhr That's interesting. I've heard that people tend to feel more comfortable around you when you subtly mimic their mannerisms.

I normally dislike fighting game pop psychology, but you make it very entetaining. On a serious note, how did you walk forward but still got hit by the crossup?
@Dagger_G2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad it was digestible! Thank you! I believe I got hit because I was in the process of moving the joystick to the other direction when I reached the other side, and also the ancient technique known as "whiffing a grab." lol
