We had to anchor a window bench and had the same problem. We found that concrete screws go in easier if the hole is deeper than the actual screw 🤷

Nice work! True story, I built a shed for my kayak and it was inspired heavily by this video. That was a year and a half ago, and I regret not installing the rollers. I thought I could just slide it in and out on carpeted boards. Well, they’re a little uneven so it gets stuck and is tough to slide around. I might do some adjustments to add rollers or better guides. Other things I did included adding metal roofing (in a lean-to style) and T1-11 siding. So far so good, other than the sliding issues. Again, nice work on the vid!

Excellent idea. I was thinking of buying a couple of clothing racks and wrapping the plastic around them. I like this idea better because I don't have to take it apart.

There are cheaper magnetic stud finders available, but keep in mind that they cannot detect metal studs, pipes, or electrical wires.

13:40 If I may suggest, you can attach that metal strip (without the button magnet ) instead to the underside of the bucket cover with the jar cap attached on the other end of that same strip. The metal strip acts as a spring hinge. The string can tether the cap that will be suctioned down open as the vacuum is turned on, without dropping off completely. You can rig a thick rubber band to keep cap in place when suction is off.🙂

@ I will definitely check that video out. After watching your workbench build I’m going with a double 2x4 plan for the bench legs. Initially was going to use 2X8’s. Then it was 4X4’s. But your approach makes the most sense. Any advice or thoughts on actual attachment or cutting would be totally appreciated. I’m using a circular saw. Don’t have a compound mitre saw yet. Hopefully in the near future. Thank You again! Mike
