The police had no right to beat this guy, it's disgraceful

Good stuff, I like hearing more about Brian's life, his family, & the ways of the business. This episode about his driving made me laugh, because I could just picture him saying that about what "bumpers" were for when driving! Funny! Looking forward to the next episode! 😊

What a strange, complicated man this Brian Epstein was. Without his acumen, we almost surely wouldn't have had the Beatles. A shame that he made the mistakes which he did, but whom was he to learn from when he was one of the very first to that playing field, especially in England. What a shame to have lived so fast and died so young, although with his lifestyle, the coming plague of the next decade surely could have taken its toll then. All in all, he was as fascinating a character as any emerging from that world of the 'swinging sixties' in Britain. When I visited Carnaby Street way back in the 80s you could still feel the buzz of that time. I wonder if it's still there today? Probably not...

I really feel sorry for Brian. He obviously had a clear 'insight' into true artistic merit & knew how to mould & present that to the general public. Trouble is - he had a deep inner desire to be artisticly creative himself, but probebly found himself 'overwhelmed' by his strict buisness acumen. I think that by the time the Beatles went off to Bangor to see the Maharishi - despite all the wealth - he was feeling lonely, lost, & desperately unfullfilled within himself. God Bless him - he helped change the World !

I love it! The never ending story of the Beatles. It seems that we never hear much about Brian or the business angle during the rise of the Beatles. I always believe that he never knew how big they were going to get and when they got extremely successful he found himself in over his head

Ready to be offered 25%, he jumps up and demands, “No less than 7 and a half percent!” True, he was a great manager with an eye for golden talent, but a terrible businessman…

These are good videos. Finding the photos in itself is a huge task. There are a number of times in this particular video where you repeat yourself. You don’t need to leave that in. Basic audio editing could clip out those repetitions and really sharpen this up. Look at Audacity…a free audio editor.

Wonderful Christmas time was the first 45 I bought from a fan club in 1986 through mail order. I heard the beetle Christmas songs on the late 80s condor you should do a series on rare bootleg labels and bootlegs. Condor yellow dog etc

The Queen Mother got hers back at John after his remark about rattling their jewelry. The Beatles were presented after the Royal Variety show. Her Majesty asked the group where they would be playing next. They replied Slough. "Oh, that's near us," was her reply (the source for this is the Hunter Davies Beatles biography August 17, 1968).

And aII this time, I was under the impression that Ed SuIIivan saw the BeatIes at the airport in EngIand, and was impressed by the fans' BeatIemania, and that was the basis of him booking the BeatIes on his show. In fact, I heard Ringo give that version.
