Sorry to comment here. What charger did you use to power up the 12v upgraded battery instead of 6v and how many ampere is it. I bought a 12v battery for my son's bike for his birthday apparently i am unable to charge it. I left it over night with 12v 2a charger it wasnt charged. Battery i am using is sealed 12v 7ah. I would really appreciate your help. I bought the bike used online.

Nice! Looks fun! I honestly wouldn’t take mine out there in that type of riding situations. But it’s good to see that it can with your setup. I got mine set up for street only. And either your camera has a very good microphone or your fan is just extra loud? At least it works!!! Love my Buells. I started letting some go just recently. Just the ones that I have extras of. Kinda reluctant to let anymore of my S1’s go. Good stuff man!!!

I've heard if you just install a bigger battery it will reduce the lifespan of the vehicle dramatically without doing some conversations, I've heard it can also burn the 6v switches... I'm curious to know cause I want to convert my son's 6V bike as well, any tips ?

Not sure what I did wrong here. I think I followed this as he explained and by the pics. It still works fine with the 6volt battery. I'm thinking maybe it does need the gearbox/motor replaced for it to work. I'm looking into that now but wondering if anyone has any helpful input. After converting to the 12v battery the bike runs for 3 minutes then cuts out. If you let it set for 1 or 2 minutes it works again. This sounds like a circuit breaker heating up. I haven't gone granular but I but a 30 amp fuse inline to be safe and that is all good. Wonder if there is breaker in the circuit board or if the voltage is too much for the board? Unless we know the voltage specs from power source through to motors it will be a matter of trial and error?

I bought my '09 XT with 08 miles on it. D&D muffler with EBR matched for muffler. 49 mpg! OK for dirt roads but 1st gear too tall for much else. Plenty of power for me

Yes I was wanting to change my kids 6 volt to a 12 volt but somebody else on there said that it would tear up the gears in a motorcycle if you could give me some feedback on that when you get a chance I appreciate it

The Uly can be a Handful, just needed a lower first gear and a 19'' front tire. Still have my Uly but bought a KLX fro the dirt rides.
