@TheXiamenCyclingFeed2 ай бұрын
It's got the same reach (391mm) as the Tavelo Arow, but it's 7mm taller with 552mm compared to 545mm stack on the Tavelo, plus I have a little extra stack from that spacer to run those bars, so I'm happy with the height of the front end. I could have also chosen a size M and run spacers to get the stack correct but this setup now with the zero offset seatpost is perfect for me.

After my CAAD9 got stolen, I tried to replace it with a CAAD13. The CAAD13 just didn’t feel right - comfortable, but missing the laser sharpness of the 9. So I got an Aethos, thinking that would definitely be a suitable replacement, given its geometry is nearly identical to the CAAD9. Again - no dice. Its ride is too cushiony, also missing the laser sharpness. So I picked up a CAAD10, put on modern components (SRAM Force AXS, HED Ardennes wheels, Conti GP5k 28mm tires), and it has surpassed my wildest expectations. It is easily my favorite bike I’ve ever ridden.

Stack, Reach ETT (Effective top tube) I usually find out how long I need my bike to be by using ETT+(stem length) and I find out how high my handlebarsshould be using stack height. I had ws hypers and found them heavy. Get 1.2KG ws. If u have the budget, get cane we brake calipers and Elilee cranks.

Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and OfferUp are the best places IMO. In 2022, one of my riding buddies bought a 2011 CAAD10 with 105 that was a garage queen. Even had the original garbage Schwalbe tires in like new condition. The bike came with a computer that had 86 miles on the odometer. Customer showed the purchase receipt that stated he purchased the computer and SPD pedals when he bought the bike. My buddy bought it from the seller for $450. He's still pleased with it. It's a 54 cm and while he had a bike fit done, I think a 52cm would've been better for him. After about 70 miles, he starts to feel it. Now he's looking for a 52 and is struggling to find one for sale too.
