@LUCKYGUYPUMPING10 күн бұрын
@@z31online Hey there, Can you tell me what kind of spacers you are running or had machined to run behind the front rotors? Thanks
@z31online10 күн бұрын
Here are the spacers I run.... IRONTEK Wheel Spacers 3/16"(5mm)... www.amazon.com/dp/B095YDTKMV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share The only installation gotcha that you need to be aware of is ensuring that the spacer is centered. Here is what I did, and although it may sound silly, it works! Get the wheel spacer, put a few dabs of super glue gel on it and place it on the hub. Use 3 wheel lugs that are tapered and that are open ended and thread them to center the spacer. The taper from the lugs will ensure the spacer gets perfectly centered. Wait a few minutes for the super glue to set. The super glue gel will temporarily hold the spacer centered while you then slip on the 370z rotor. And if using stock Juke Wheels like I did, you'll need to use a 15mm bolt-on wheel spacer. Put that on now and install it. With that 15mm spacer fully bolted on. It'll hold the 5mm slip on spacer firmly. The rest of the process is the normal caliper bolt on stuff. Hope the steps make sense!

Thanks for this explanation! With this method, do you not need to remove the valve covers and undue the cam bolts to set proper tension? I know the SM calls for this step for proper tension etc.
@z31online3 ай бұрын
I have never had to release the tension through the rockers. What I do is set the motor to TDC, the. With the timing covers off, you can use the crank bolt to ever so slightly release the belt tension by gently rotating the crank CCW. You will see the belt gain slack.

Heres another idea you might like. You could run a fat turbo that builds boost late and use an electric clutched supercharger pulley like the ones found in supercharged Audis, Mercedes, and Toyotas (similar to an AC Compressor clutch). Then you can tune the MS3 ecu to deactivate the clutch once the turbo is fully spooled, that way the supercharger doesnt instill any parasitic loss. Just spitballin some ideas. The supercharger should also help bring down the turbo's boost threshold since youre gonna be building more exhaust gasses due to the supercharger shoving more air in the engine.
