That’s my situation I have a bachelor in science looking to get into nursing .. thank you ! I’ll look into an associate degree first due to my debt from my bachelor degree.

Hi, can you provide a little more context? Or anyway to contact & ask questions? I’m about to enter college as either a public health or biology major but im starting to regret it. I want to be a nurse, but am unsure if I should go to BSN route first or wait until after my 1st degree. Thank you
@karenallen6557Күн бұрын
@ hi I would say go straight for nursing , start taking the prerequisites for the program if you have the $$$ to do so. In my case I have a bachelors degree in business science I maxed out my $$$ . So either I have to get a loan or pay out of pocket slowly.

Great video! As a future nurse, who has worked as a CNA before nursing school. I feel like if I had to return back to where I used to work as a CNA and be the newly hired nurse. I know many of the same people who gave me a hard time will probably continue to give me a hard time. It’s sad to admit but some people just don’t want to see others succeed. They want the same things but they’re not bold enough to go after their dreams or may have certain circumstances preventing them. Nonetheless, it doesn’t not give them the right to put others down, that behavior is unacceptable and must be called out. This kind of behavior creates a nursing culture that is not compassionate and this can carry over to poor patient care.

Hi MzWendaline, May I know the average cost of studying accelerated nursing degree in usa? I’m looking for cheaper colleges (community colleges?) with any scholarship; I am 39 years old, Canadian citizen, pursued masters in Biotechnology and Masters in Public health in Canada and have been working in clinical trials for more than 11 years in canada but I am always fascinated about nursing; if you could let me know some community colleges in US that would offer accelerated bachelor nursing be great help!
@MzWendalineRN8 ай бұрын
Hi! Normally, community colleges only offer associates degree in nursing. For an accelerated degree program, you would have to look into a public or private university.
@nadinadi885 ай бұрын
In California, there are community colleges that have bridge programs for nursing specifically. Look into San Bernardino Valley college which has 80 percent nclex pass rate and riverside community college which has about 95 percent pass rate both have bridge programs to university of California san Bernardino and fullerton for a bachelors in nursing

Okay what do you think of this plan: 1. Complete prerequisites for nursing school 2. Take (and pass) the CNA cert course 3. Get a job as a CNA 4. Apply to nursing school and pass 5. Get a job as an RN is this the order I should do things? Thanks.

I agree with the working back to back tip🙂I'm a nursing student and I used to work as a part time PCT 3 shifts back to back. And then I changed to PRN status and worked random shifts (rarely on consecutive shifts), and surprisingly, pre-shift anxiety was 100x worse when I worked as a PRN on random shifts!!! I ended up quitting that job. So I really agree on working back to back shifts. At least you know your patients and what you're going in to.

I'm so lost. I have a BS in Finance and Business Management with minor in Theater. I hate my career. I feel so drawn to the world of health care. I have 2 kids and with mediocre money. I was told that some A-BSN schools/program still recquire you to take chemistry all over again (when I had a passing grade of C+ lol) and I'm dreading it.
@MzWendalineRN Жыл бұрын
Yes, they might require chemistry depending on how long ago you took the class. Either way, I think it would be best for you research the school you want to attend to ask them specific questions. Good luck!

Hello, I have a bachelor degree in education ( Biology and Chemistry + Education ) obtained from Kenya ( Africa) and I am now living in USA, Texas, what can I do to join nursing in your school ?? Thank you
@ashleyhearts8561 Жыл бұрын
First identify which nursing program you want to get enrolled into and then send your transcript for evaluation. The program will let you know which prequistes you need to take and maybe some of the courses you took from your previous school will be accepted. After you get a list of prequisites you need to take to be accepted to a nursing program you can enroll in a community college and complete your prequisites. Texas has several programs you can choose from eg uta has an accelerated bsn program but you can research and find the one that suits you best.

Congrats! I would say try not to overwhelm yourself with taking too many classes at once especially when you’re taking the science classes. It’s important that you do really well in your prerequisite courses to ensure that you get into nursing school. So, take your time and always utilize resources available at your school to help you succeed in all your classes. Good luck! Let me know how it goes 😊

Don’t worry about the language, you will just have to put in a little more work to make sure that you understand things. As long as you can understand what you are learning, that is all that matters. Good luck to you!!
