Ik this is a old video. But do you by change do lens repair? I have a tlr camera and the front element looks like someone used a handful of sand to try and clean it. Trouble finding places that grind and polish 😢

Very nice job. You have inspired me to do a similar upgrade to my Sherline lathe. Working on Nema 17 motors with built-in drivers and encoders first to improve accuracy and speeds. I really like your spiral cover!!!

That’s just amazing to see how you made the lens elements and all the other components, I really like the way the lens renders the image. What a great video it is.

Hej Mats! Jag undrar om du skulle kunna hjälpa mig med ett projekt som jag jobbar på där jag vill kopiera en lens som inte längre produceras?

Too late I found it. But great video. ❤

Simply inspiring, creating lenses or optical designs is an art in itself. I consume this type of content a lot and I try to make my own lenses with the remains of broken lenses or binoculars and telescopes (basically anything that has a lens), but my biggest challenge is having access to an optical project, do you know where I can find it?

Exceptional quality and craftmanship, this is why I have no problem paying $650 or more for a $1200 lens, no way I could make the lens for less than I could purchase one.

Hi Mats, I visited your website. Very cool stuff. I know you may not read comments on here anymore, and that you took down your contact info because of too many requests. I am trying to replace the front element on a lens, and so far I've contacted several places seeking a replacement. I know its a far shot but if you could fabricate one I would be very grateful! Also anybody reading this comment, if you know of a good optical glass fabricator, please let me know!

try molten glass/plastic spin casting, lower melting temperature for plastic, liquid form essential
