Very nice job. You have inspired me to do a similar upgrade to my Sherline lathe. Working on Nema 17 motors with built-in drivers and encoders first to improve accuracy and speeds. I really like your spiral cover!!!

Just ran across this video, love the work you did here, and that spiral protector is excellent. I've been using an accordion protector that might just get retired after this :)

Very nice, enjoyed the creativity. Especially the telescoping screw covers.

*VERY* nice job! Would you consider selling a "plan set" (or even CNC code) for the saddle assy? Thanks, 'sig

Fantastic work - and looks like quite an improvement. Please post a drawing or sketch for the new saddle.

Do you mind sharing the cost of the ball screws and the length you bought?
@matswernersson87819 жыл бұрын
They are expensive. I bought them from China and paid $555 for three screws including shipping to Sweden.

Protector makes more sense now! :) Very cool idea, first I've seen it and I've watched LOTS of milling/cnc vids.

I think the word you were trying to spell is "Spiral" and not "Sprial"
