I apologize for my rudeness but … so what? I mean. This is such a shallow and pathetic statement. There are thousands of disunited sellers who play according to Amazon rules compete with each other by all possible means. And Amazon collects this harvest all year round. What type of control are you talking about? How do they control Amazon? Almost all of big Chinese brands who was exiled from Amazon were never able to reactivate their accounts, how much money was just frozen on their accounts? Have you ever read the agreement that sellers sign with Amazon before they start selling their products?

Interesting numbers that Chinese Sellers made up such a big portion of Amazon's GMV.

That's interesting. Surprised that the US has not shadow-ban Temu from the loophole.

The gradual adoption of AI in education is a good strategy, though it would be interesting to hear more about how to overcome organizational barriers and resistance to change. The use of AI to speed up essay grading sounds practical, but what about more creative subjects where grading is more subjective? Can AI handle that nuance?😀👍👍👍

While AI can improve productivity in coding, I wonder how much students will learn if they lean too heavily on tools like GitHub Copilot. Could it reduce the depth of their understanding?

JC’s point about AI devaluing memorization is thought-provoking, but it raises the question-how do we assess skills like critical thinking effectively in an AI-driven classroom?

The potential of AI to provide more granular assessments is exciting, but how do we ensure it doesn’t lead to even more standardized, one-size-fits-all teaching methods

AI-enhanced feedback loops sound great in theory, but will students fully engage with AI-generated comments? There’s something powerful about human interaction in feedback.

In a recent episode of Analyze Asia, I had the pleasure of discussing the future of education with Joon Nak Choi, Associate Professor at HKUST and founder of Learnovate. Here are 5 insights from our conversation: AI as an Empowering Tool: Like Tony Stark with Jarvis, AI can amplify human abilities-if used wisely. Over-reliance, however, could lead to passive learning, as seen in WALL-E. AI in Education Is Incremental: Expect gradual improvements in current education processes over the next 5 years before we see transformative changes driven by AI. AI for Personalized Learning: Generative AI can revolutionize content creation and personalize learning experiences, though societal and organizational barriers remain a challenge. Co-producing with AI: Students can benefit by learning how to effectively co-produce essays and projects using AI, maintaining critical thinking while leveraging technology. Long-term Transformation: In 5-10 years, universities will undergo major changes, driven by AI innovations and the need to align education with corporate skill requirements.

I love the analogy between Tony Stark and WALL-E. It really emphasizes the importance of using AI as a tool to enhance human capabilities, not replace them. Great perspective on responsible AI use!👍👍👍

Temu sellers are so toasted because Temu can go to their competitors for a good seller product and ask them to drop prices. That's so silly and Temu sellers are victims to the platform's abuse.

Here's the quick summary of the episode: 🎙 How AI Makes Us More Human with Tan Siok Siok In the latest podcast episode, our host BL had a fascinating conversation with Tan Siok Siok, co-author of "AI for Humanity." Here are three key takeaways: 1/ Authenticity Over Perfection: AI helps us appreciate the value of authenticity, reminding us that human imperfections make our creations more relatable and trustworthy. 2/ AI as a Creative Partner: Instead of replacing us, AI can be a sparring partner in creativity, pushing us to new heights and enhancing our work through collaboration. 3/ Empowering with AI: The future of AI lies in human collaboration. It’s not just about automation-AI should empower individuals to understand, shape, and harness its potential for the benefit of humanity.
