What RPM does she run at and what RPM did she run when working? Also what was her job? Mill? Factory?

Loved watching that huge segmented flywheel turning with absolutely no run-out at all of any of the segments. Put together with amazing care towards accuracy.

I’m currently designing a similar thing but with integration of Behringer’s FCB1010. It’s getting there - just need to transfer the inputprofile for the FCB1010 to the RPI and I’ll be ready for a real-world test.

Hi was just wondering what type of cable I need in order to connect the mixer to a tv. The tv has a coaxial and I was trying to use a coaxial to connect to the comp out but that wasn’t fitting. Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you so much!
@mr.berlingo82115 жыл бұрын
The video outputs are all composite on BNCs or SVideo. If your TV input is an RCA (aka Phono) connector (often yellow) and marked video in you should be able to connect this to the Preview Out or Program Out A or B on the mixer, you will need either a BNC to RCA cable (or a male BNC to Female RCA adaptor and an RCA to RCA lead). If your "coaxial" input on the TV is an aerial input (and if the TV is very old (pre- mid 1980's) possibly the only input) the only way of connecting to this input is via an external TV modulator which "broadcasts" the input composite video signal on a UHF TV channel on the RF of the converter. With suitable adaptors, the aforementioned outputs of the mixer could be connected to a scart input on the TV (or 5 or 7-pin DIN video in/out on some older TVs).

It's a Mini-DVI to S-Video Adapter (Model M9319G). Mini-DVI and DVI was the monitor port found on certain MacBooks up until 2008. I don't think you can get a live S-Video signal straight out of any Macbooks later than 2008 (when Apple switched to using Mini DisplayPort).

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party. Really clever idea. I already use a 6 button MIDI footpedal to control the FX and mutes on my digital desk and I have 'banks' and a 7 segment display to let me know which bank I'm in. Would you be able to do something similar with this so it's 'self contained'? iPad is already in use controlling the desk and I have a dedicated dual band modem permanently installed with the desk. I'd like to be able to pre-program all the buttons to have numerous different settings on different banks for different songs or venues without having to rely on a tablet.

Dude I have a Drum Staff Drum and I switched the module to an Alesis DM5 - it was much more than the Staff, but I'm having a serious problem, depending on the number of pieces used simultaneously, it has to turn on and off. It's not overheating, because I can play for hours if I make a simple beat, but when I use too many pieces it hangs. Does your module do this? I have already researched and if I do not put any information it takes a bit longer to lock, but as a factory the box comes very low and the very loud dishes force me to save only 1 single bank. I really need some support. From now on I thank you for your attention. Hug.

Any help would be brilliant its for a charity event so funds are cheap but love a build challenge. How was the end product ? could you possible send the files ?

Hi Scott very nice job on the Video! I am currently trying out your design. My band is now using LED DMZ lights. and there is no easy foot controller solution at a decent price. In your video you showed a MAC Keyboard which I have one that looks identical to, but the circuit board looks a bit different. Can you send or show me how you wired the switches to the circuit board? As I don't know what chip you soldered to. Thanks Don S.
@scottwegner10 жыл бұрын
Hey Don - there is a thing ribbon connector on the keyboard I used - and I soldered the wires onto the backside of the PC board where the connector was. In order to determine which ones to use, I took a probe wire and pushed one end of the wire to pretty much a random solder joint of that connector and then touched another solder joint - all while the USB cable was hooked to a computer and some text editor was open so I could see what it did. After literally poking around in that way - I found that some of the solder points were "common" and used those as the one side of several switches, and found a set of other solder pads that were wired individually from the switch to pad. I didn't worry about blowing anything up since I had a dozen of those keyboards laying around. Nothing blew up anyhow - and the first one worked from start to finish. Scott

Very nice and what I'm currently working to make work for me as well. I have an old ground control foot board that I might go with instead of MIDI foot board. Would you share the CGI script for loading different files on the Rpi? Thanks a lot for the look and preview.

Hey - ya - no problem. I think you may have already seen it but, in case not.. here is the qlcplus forum where I posted the script info: sourceforge.net/p/qlcplus/discussion/rpi/thread/aa57a90d/ Thanks for watching!

Scott, been working on getting the wireless to work with QLC but no-go. I can use the wireless if I boot up on one of the other Rpi system so I know it works. How did you get it loaded in QLC. I have looked at loading the driver but getting stuck. Any help would be grateful. Thanks
@scottwegner10 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Traylor It was not easy, and I'm very bad at documenting the steps I took. But I think there are two key parts. I followed these directions: www.maketecheasier.com/set-up-raspberry-pi-as-wireless-access-point/ and in particular - in the last part - the "Troubleshooting" section applied to me. I had to do the extra steps to download the alternate driver for my particular wifi unit. The second thing that was key - was that the DHCP server installed on the Pi didn't want to start up correctly if my wired ethernet was not plugged in. Which is frustrating because the wireless would work just fine as long as my ethernet cable was plugged in - but as soon as I would boot without it plugged in - it didn't work. I'm not totally certain how I ended up fixing that... but I think it may have had something to do with putting the wlan0 interface FIRST in the /etc/network/interfaces file. I can post my file contents in a day or so. (I don't have access at this moment) Scott

Please what cables or adapters are you using to connect the mac to the mixer? Please answer. I have a mac and a PC and a couple of cameras. I want to run them through the mx50 to a projector. Please help!
@mr.berlingo82115 жыл бұрын
You will need some sort of video scaler to connect a PC. Don't expect a wonderful picture because the composite video PAL signal is only 625 lines vertical resolution, but is adequate for simple computer-generated graphics. However, some of the cheapo (< £100 new) converters available are truly awful! A secondhand professional scaler from Extron, Kramer etc would be far preferable.
