I've been a Red Wings fan since I was a little kid. Although Les Canadiens broke our hearts many times I had nothing but respect for the team and the organization. Mr. Beliveau was first on the list. R.I. P. to you and Gordie, sir.

Nobody, and I mean nobody pays homage to their alumni like the Montreal Canadiens. To you, from failing hands, we pass the torch. Be yours to hold it high!

My grandfather was on a plane from Halifax to Toronto with Mr Howe. They sat next to each other and talk nothing about hockey really haha just thanked him for his years sacrificed in the game. 3 hours of nothing but family and Canada! But, I still can’t believe he was talking with him all that time and it totally slipped his mind to ask for a autograph 😂❤

This guy is my uncle, so many people won’t believe me, but he is very good friends with my dad so my dad just says he’s my uncle even though he’s mainly just a really big family friend if mine, and, my dad actually featured in this song, you can see him on the right at 1:30, so yeah, that’s a nice little fun fact. Thanks for y’all supporting my uncle but unfortunately he made his last music album a little bit ago. If you guys don’t believe me, then don’t believe me, it’s okay to think it’s fake, but I just wanted to let u know who he is and thanks for saying good stuff about him, and even my dad, since he was in the music vid for some seconds. 😊

These guys would be lucky to win 20 games in today's NHL. Of course, that's because they're all in their 50s. If r=they were all in their respective primes, they might go undefeated.

I grew up in Detroit, played hockey every day in the winter on the park pond off 6 Mile Rd. in Redford, and played intramural hockey at U of M for four years. I got to caddy for Howe once and saw him play a few times. He was a giant.

Beliveau a 52 ans ici!! Il semble manquer d'aisance malgré un âge pas si avancé... Dur d'imaginer que Howe jouait dans la LNH au même âge. Il fait vraiment plus que son âge même s'il est élégant.

Sadly both men are gone. They were tough and great athletes who played each other at 100% every night. Retired from hockey they became ambassadors with grace from the sport. RIP gentlemen.

These guys probably could beat today's teams. Even though Lafleur was older, he still looks exciting. When God created the perfect hockey player, he made Guy Lafluer. RIP Guy.

Bowman was going to bench Richer; but Robinson and Gainey talked him out of it. Roy said he wouldn't show up unless he was the guaranteed starter; Dryden said he didn't care because he had bigger things to accomplish. Bouchard stayed beside Nilan the whole skate; just in case Stan Jonathan made an appearance. Lafleur didn't want to come but Savard said he'd buy him a case of beer and a carton of smokes.

I was fortunate enough to meet Gordie Howe one time. His team was practicing in Colorado Springs and Minnesota was playing against Colorado College one year. I’m from Minnesota and watch hockey as much as possible. My favorite is amateur hockey at the high school level because it is non-violent and the boys play so hard!

In the 1960's the Candiens were the class of that decade, the flying frenchman were the ones to beat-great teams, point of view from a Hawks fan.
