I love how you speak the truth as I my self was a street kid for 7 years, it was basically the same thing as you say it was either getting a flogging from my step father or getting locked in a basement with nothing not even a toilet or food or blankets no one could even see the cruel side of my life at the time if it wasn't getting the cane at school it was been abused by my step father & if it wasn't for Captain Paul Moulds & Robbin Moulds of Oasis youth center in surry hills Sydney I was I my way to a early grave.

When it was hot and wet and you were absolutely exhausted who should arrive but the ever popular Sallyman. Cold hot drinks and biscuits or fruit, hot an icy cold drink of cordial and biscuits or fruit. Absolute morale boosters.

When I was in the Australian Army Infantry, we would come out of the bush, filthy dirty carrying packs ammo and our Minimi light machine guns and we would see a Sallyman in the distance with their truck. You can’t believe how good a biscuit and a cup of coffee from a Sallyman is. Well done mate you don’t know how much we appreciated blokes like you when we were in. Sorry to hear what happened pre deployment mate.

if you were ever lost out scrub and the sally man turned up he could tell you exactly were you were and if you made a big enough donation, he would tell you were everyone else was to lol. I served alongside the 1st armour Reg at Puka when I served with 5/7 RAR ( Mech ) before the move to Darwin and it was always a welcome sight to see the sally man turn up with his brew rig to hook in to a nice hot choc drink on those very frosty cold winters morn out on Puka range.

as a former member of B sqn 1AR i have to say the sallyman (different from Vaughan) was one of the kindest and most needed members of out regiment. its good to see that the tradition has continued of "adopting" the sallyman in to the regiment and Sqn. - Paratus

A very special thank you to Vaughan! Your dedication is incredible. I lost count of the number of times you appeared from nowhere and brought a top up of morale that saw us through some tough times training. You certainly meant a lot to B sqn during my time there, especially during that bloody koolendong ex in Darwin and the endless shamozzle of Black Sabot. B for best!

Iwas homeless and ended up ia car 🚗 then in a homeless shelter in burnie Tasmania safe house and was grateful to have a place to stay but was shocked that a homeless safe house didnt have a shower to clean ypur self .And it wasnt there fault it was all the Red Tape of building restrictions or what ever .And people say beggar's cant be choosers no we are not beggar's. Its through no housing or high rents low incomes. THE LOCAL library you could have a shower and great the library did that .But in this day and age all that red tape should be removed. Its a basic need to clense your self .Also a beneficiary provided fot that centre to have shower installed by providing money for it .And still hasnt happened any one can be homeless. IN A instant

You have reminded us enough! Just live as an Australian not as someone who believes he is special! Other minorities have long lines of descent too, and they dont bang on about it, nor do they believe they should be welcomed to this country which aborigines had little role in creating.

Yet another corrupt, misleading vid from this male hating group. DV is not & never was gender exclusive. By taking a gender biased approach which is what you people intentionally do, you knowingly not only promote womans Dv toward males, you enable & encourage it. If any race was singled out & targetted the same way you single out males as a gender - it would be classified as hate speech. Your rotten movement is no different.

I've been on a crisis/emergency housing list for 5 years, this video was made 5 years ago, I wasn't offered a shelter to go to, or even a motel room for the night, I'm still sleeping in my car, majority of the time, usually for long periods after violence in the home. The salvation army hasn't helped me at all. Actually they've placed me in danger by sending me to a dodgy caravan park (to check out a caravan for $180 per week which had broken glass windows) and where, at the time, a rapist who was recently released from prison resided and even after informing them of this I was referred to this place again a month later by another case worker from the same office! These people earn a wage which is funded by donations but what for??

This is horrible. 100% against it. But by only portraying men as the universal perpetrators and women as the universal victims we tend to Isolate the men who are also victims of *DOMESTIC VIOLENCE*. So please... domestic violence does not have a gender or age, we must acknowledge all forms of it to properly break the cycle. My school is a white ribbon school.
