50 years ago, Cyclone Tracy changed Darwin forever.
In this moving reflection, survivors and The Salvation Army officers who lived through that Christmas Eve in 1974 share their experiences. Together, they remember the devastation, the resilience, and the community spirit that helped rebuild the city.
In the aftermath, The Salvation Army provided over 25,000 meals at Darwin Airport and continued to offer support, shelter, and hope to evacuees across Australia.
Join us as we honour the strength and unity of Darwin and reflect on the lasting impact of Cyclone Tracy.
