The girl who said fighting those bombs with Aerith was worth it. I felt that in my soul. That and the 97 chocobo races I did for that Tifa quest. It was worth it but by the time I got through it I would have fed Aerith to those bombs if it let me progress that quest. Sephiroth wouldn't have had to worry about killing her later. To the guy who said he needed to talk to Clive, HELL NO. Do you realize it took Clive 18 years, and for 5 of those years they were basically living together? They were in their 30s and Jill had to practically force herself on him to get him to do anything even then. Cloud is actually light years ahead of where Clive was at 21. I would have given up on Clive and Jill before their moment if I hadn't already known they were a couple before I started the game. I was so afraid it was going to end up being a situation where he confessed his love for her as he was dying or something like that. They saved it, and their moment was beautiful, but no way I'd want anyone taking relationship advice from Clive.

SE couldn't be more obvious regarding CloTi. I see they actually love creating ambiguity since it keeps this game in hotlines. However, they do made it more and more obvious in remake trilogy. Some dialogues overshadow what's gonna happen in part 3 to CloTi. "Let's find a time to figure things out together, just both of us" "Never really good with words either" "You have always saved me, now it's my turn" While I acknowledge Aerith's feeling for Cloud, Cloud, on another hand, didn't even get what she said about "liking", if he really has the same romantic feeling towards her he wouldn't give such respond. Im kinda tired telling people the reason Aerith's death hit him so hard is none other than guilt and grief. Yet no one seems to get it. She was killed in front of his eyes when he was literally one feet away from her. He would wish anything to turn back time and save her. People say Cloud only loves Tifa because Aerith died? Nah, he can't freely express his love to Tifa because the deep guilt he's holding in, he doesn't think he deserves such luxury called "love" and "happy ever after". That's why, I'm more than happy if we can save Aerith, it'll be happy ending that he won't be burden with such notorious guilt.

I can tell you right now, a lot of guys care about this one. From personal experience, the first thing all my friends (all guys) asked me about when they found out I was playing it was "what about Cloud and Tifa" or "what did they do with Cloud and Tifa". Not "is the game good" or "did they change the story". Nope, they all wanted to know about Cloud and Tifa.

For example, Cloti Remake Moments video just hit 4M views and Cloti Rebirth Moments video is at 900k views in just 4 months (edit: now it's at 1M views in just 5 months)! That's freaking amazing!!

I don't believe they add an entire chapter just to focus on them and accelerate their relationship the way they have and shove Aerith into the background for most of Rebirth, if they don't know. It's not really a mystery or anything new either. The majority of people who played the OG game and understood the story already favored Tifa and the remakes have only widened the gap.

You're quite welcome! It makes me happy to read that genuinely. The ship wars can be very contentious and stressful the more invested you get. It's always good to take a step back and surround yourself with people who feel the same as you. I loved making these for that reason, very infectious how happy people felt about this. Something I, myself, have always wanted to see since teen years =)

What I truly love about all these reactions is the fact that in this game, if you just rush through the story, you may date someone else, if you do get Tifa date, Cloud may still only hugs her and not kiss. You must raise Tifa relationship meter to a certain level for this kiss to happen. This means these streamers really want Cloud to date Tifa, they not just rush through the game as quickly as possible and then play another game right after to attract more viewers, they actually put in efforts to make this kiss happen

Yea, it is an impressive number of people but that shouldn't be too surprising. Tifa has always been more popular. For most guys Tifa is more attractive and has a more desirable personality. Her loyalty is off the charts and ladies, I'll let you in on a little secret, loyalty is one of the things men most desire in a woman. Among my friend circle, all guys age 35-55, the very first thing they all asked me when I played the game was "what about Cloud and Tifa". Not, "was the game good" or "did Aerith die this time" or "is the story still the same". Nope, everyone who was interested in the game all asked the same thing. In addition, anyone who played the OG and actually understood the story is likely to prefer Tifa and Rebirth in particular slants things heavily in Tifa's favor imo with a steady build up to this moment. To the point that the game would feel incomplete without it. It's the only date that seems to be a natural progression of the story as opposed to just a fun little episode on the side. If you get anyone else on the date it just feels forced and out of place because the game builds up to this moment between Cloud and Tifa from the very beginning. Think about it, even in the first chapter in the flashback we get to see Cloud protect her (sorry, this one is an OG spoiler but IYKYK), then the argument, the apology, the first date that gets interrupted, the almost kiss in Gongaga, the mutual comforting in Neibelheim, then the real kiss on the date. It's also worth noting that most of the side content in this game is SOOOO freakin good that you are robbing yourself if you don't do it. I did every single side quest for every character, just delayed a few until after the date to make sure I got Tifa.

People think the way Cloud hugs Tifa is just him being awkward or a "fake-out" from the devs, but it's more likely a reference to how he asked her to meet him on the watertower when they were twelve. He met her outside the general store and whispered in her ear. She forgot all about the cake she was going to bake for the other guys who were leaving town. Those who read Traces of Two Pasts know. :)

Off the top of my head, I can't really think of another video game moment quite like this one. Normally when you see big reaction compilations like this, it's almost always movies or tv shows and normally it's a big reveal or plot twist.
