Hey there, the course looks awesome, but I am curious about something: at 00:07:35, you say 'I don't have to lie that you worked somewhere'. You almost said it like it's a common thing that people do when they're trying to get in the industry. Is that true, or did you kind of just say that flippantly while pointing out that we'd actually be getting work experience?

Thanks for the video! It would be nice to see a successful QA interview example and detailed HR feedback, coz all the examples on YT I saw before don't look like successful ones. Here is a case of the interview of a typical Russian-speaking immigrant or maybe any other immigrant also, I don't think that citizens struggle with the same things, because they have lifelong experience in self-presentation and highlighting their personal achievements and contributions. You can wake them up at 4 am and they can tell you how is important their contribution to a company's success even if their main responsibility to sweep the streets. So the main point is if you can't tell about personal contributions to your previous project you can't be a valuable asset for a new one.

better to look at the job board and check how many open job positions available right now for QA engineers and how many job positions were available for example 2 years ago. And you will be surprised about the results :)

@AnzorChkhikvadze
@AnzorChkhikvadze 8 күн бұрын
Learn from KZbin the test automation. You do not have to be good at coding to do QA automation. Maybe focus on UI and API test automation using the languages with more "simple" syntax, like JavaScript or Python. You can start practicing it as a side project (on top of the project you are manually testing). You can use tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). Once you are confident and have a working automation project you can discuss this as an addition to your current tasks in your project and ask for a pay raise for this. Of course manual QA still will be part of your daily job (and personally I think that nothing will replace human's manual testing in the nearest future) but automation can help to reduce time of testing some parts of the application. Ask AI for help with writing some tests and try to understand whole code it provides, how and why it works (or does not work sometimes 😅). This way you should be able to gain new skills, enjoy more what you are doing and increase your salary at your current employer or earn more with side projects. Never give up. Good luck! 🤜🤛

The better you are with coding the more likely your will be higher. There two ways to go: 1. Learn on your own 2. Take a course with mentors to teach you First one is cheaper but more time consuming and windier. The second will have the cost but much faster

Hey Karim, good question! Nowadays the market is someone spread apart with all jobs. I can not say go to testing or go to cloud industry because there are more jobs. But I can definitely say that becoming a QA Engineer is much easier then 99% of professions in IT. That's why a lot of people are into it to get started. It's sort of a back door to IT as from there, it will be easier to move any other position.

So … are graduates from the bootcamp essentially saying they had previous QA experience when they didn’t? I’m not judging, at the end of the day you gotta do what you gotta do. There’s a bootcamp in my area that does that as well. They have you make a mock resume. But they submit it to their clients. Is that how your bootcamp works as well?

Ummm what? Most QA jobs I see want Java and selenium. What is this guy talking about? Truth: it depends on your region and the tech stack prevalent in that region. Here in the USA, especially in Virginia most companies want these things: Java, selenium, cucumber, api testing, familiarity with CI/CD and other devOps tools. Don’t get me wrong, I see lots of cypress and JS, but this guy is mistaken about the value of learning Java for your *first* QA job. Learn both if you can to maximize your options, start with one and learn how to automate in the other.
