Have you guys ever done tutorials on how to set up great lighting scenarios in DAZ3D? Or can you recommend a tutorial? I got into DAZ a while ago and I can get the poses and compositions I want just fine but every time it comes to lighting, I absolutely crumble. Mostly because I can never get the light to do what I want it to do. How much of the scene it should light up etc. It's really weird.

Unfortunately I have very little experience with lighting scenes in DAZ. Everything in DAZ (except for posing the models) feels alien and extremely unintuitive, so I always prefer constructing scenes in Blender/UE5. Sorry I can’t be of help on that front! 😕

It's just a pity that it's possible to go back from Blender to DAZ studio, but I can't move them anymore and you don't even have the texture there or im just are amater .

One thing I worry about Modeler is that some tools have better behavior in VR than desktop. Warp tool is one of these, 6 dof freedom in VR. But I have motion sickness with VR, the headless mode seems very difficult to configure. Using Modeler with desktop only seems like not a good idea...
@POLYCOSM
@POLYCOSM 4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t use Md if it was a Desktop version only. I sculpt primarily in VR and wouldn’t use it any other way. Have you tried Md with VR? I’ve heard of a lot of people with motion sickness have no issue with Md ☺️

@@POLYCOSM maybe because it's somehow easier to itzerate on your work (?). I have a really bad sense of proportion and really need the reference to adjust properly, which feels more natural in 3D (and in Modeler) to me

you know? thats was a very interesting video, missed the videos here and I didn´t know of this term bephore, aphantasia, that could explain one of the many things that I have in my head, like I mean, I always have a lot of ideas in my mind, thousands of ideas but they are not "visible" dont know if I am explaining myself, whene Im doing a project I have some loose ideas but I dont have a clear image in my mind, is the same? Anyway is always great to see new stuff in here
@POLYCOSM
@POLYCOSM 5 ай бұрын
Glad you liked the video! You might have Aphantasia 😊 A lot of people can actually literally visualize full scenes in their head quite clearly. See what colour shirt someone has, what the fabric is like, their face in full detail. I still get ideas and I’m still creative, but I’m always bound to references cause I can’t retain visual information in my head, and anything I draw without refs comes out wonky as hell lol
