It's crazy how there's a lot of arguments in different sports as to who's the greatest, then you look at professional pool and there's only one name and everyone agrees.

Back in his day, there was no such tournament or championship that would have allowed him to mix various styles, he would have broken their tailored rules. Apparently bolo declined to fight him in enter the dragon and the O'Hara dude got hurt filming the fight scene....

Bata hustled in all key cities in the Philippines. Lived in cheap penthouses for days until there is no sucker left and it's time to move on. He finally crossed the ocean and became Cesar Morales for a while in America🤣🤣🤣

I was going to go to Philippines w/ Filipino backer- to play in challenge matches in a rented venue maybe 200 people- 3 day match- he trained me by teaching me techniques, pain and injury included, on how to concentrate when people and situations are distracting in that country. My father didn’t like that idea, said he would hunt me down and shoot me there. So l became a restaurant manager. My father was a sniper, so l chose life. I wasn’t a kid either, 28, l could really play.

Just randomly clicked this video, and just now learned that other countries don't use borax when playing? the powder joe's talking about is borax I grew up in a gambling house in the slums with two billiard tables that's always buzzling with tournaments and stuffs. I thought everyone uses borax lol.

Funny story: I went to a pool bar in downtown Davao City once because I run out of money to buy cigarettes. Important to note that I am one of the worst player ever in that bar. There's this thin guy with bleached hair. I beat that guy 3 times. The guy was cool and asked me to hang out with him after. I SAID NO. That guy turned out to be Manny Pacquiao.

Fedor don't understand or didn't want to accept the fact that most of the Filipino pool players doesn't use any kicking system. because pool lesson in Philippines doesn't even exist until this time. 😊 believe it or not

Funny you mention the Mosconi Cup. My dad was the best pool player I’ve ever personally seen live. He beat Willie in a game of straight pool to 100. I know it’s not bullshit either bc dad wasn’t braggadocio AT ALL. He was a teacher of discipline in EVERYTHING. It’s bc of him that I became the martial artist and basketball player I was. Dad, I know you could have gone pro. But then Vietnam happened, you go balls to the walls like everything else you or I do in life and became a paratrooper and an expert marksman. You ended up stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, fell in love with a woman who had 3 kids and was 18 months removed from a tyrannically abusive “husband,” and two years later I came along. From then on, you stopped jumping out of airplanes, flying airplanes, and hustling local pool halls to be a full time bread winner and ultimate example of discipline - a true dad. Any man can father a child, but it takes a MAN to be a dad. You taught me everything I know about not just billiards, but life. I miss you every day dad. You were murdered by a negligent doctor and I know you’re looking down on us. I hope I’ve made you proud. You told me at age 17 that if anything ever happened to you, to take care of mom. She still lives with my wife and kids to this day and for what she’s been through is doing remarkably well at 73. They don’t make men like you anymore. I pray the eulogy I delivered at age 23 did you justice. I’ll see you in heaven 🙏

He comes across like someone who plays in the same bar is you .then you go home and realize you just played against the best pool player in the world
