Yours is the only posting I have ever seen that shows an understanding of the terrible design of this dreadful vehicle regarding pedestrian safety. For dacades automotive designers have minimalised the risks to pedestrians during a collision by making gentle curves instead of sharp, angular edges. Tesla threw that away when it commissioned this design from someone clearly severely mentally ill. That a modern manufacturer would be allowed to produce such a hazardous design is something that American consumer protection groups should be asking regulators...

A friend of mine ordered a Tesla several years ago. When he went to pick it up, he refused to accept it because it was built so poorly. He said that when he first approached it, he saw that none of the panels were aligned. And he said they were really noticeable. When he got inside it, the door shuddered when he closed it. Then he discovered that he could slide the interior panels around. He couldn't believe that a car built so badly was allowed to leave the factory. I laughed and told him that Tesla doesn't believe in quality control. Those brand new cars and trucks you see getting destroyed in movies and TV shows are ones that failed factory inspections and couldn't be sold. Usually paint issues or electrical problems. But Elon Musk doesn't believe in quality control, so every vehicle that comes off the Tesla production line is sent to market.

I like the electric motors. but i don t like current battery technology. They don t last long enough without degredation, And they polute to much in mining, and production. And eat up to many rare metals too... Maybee solid state batteries with less rare earth metals could work? A typical electric car cost way over 3 times the co2 polution in production, mining and transport. Not speaking of the fact you need to recycle that battery in the end! Which creates how much polution??? add the co2 from the powerstation for electricity production. adding these all together gives an ohnest picture on wheather electric cars are smart or stupid. The numbers don t lie If something happens to that car in its earlier life than you can t even make up the difference in environmental footprint. The new euro7 cars will be even cleaner. And my car will not turn into a smart phone which can t last for 5 years! My phone battery is always the reason my Phone dies, and needs to e replaced!. do we want that for cars?? I DO NOT...

@ChargedCar-1 everythibg in the last 6-8 years is connected and has its own wireless connection now. Even before that people were finding aftermarket gps systems installed by the distributors. BMW has its connected car system WITH 300-500 gb hard drives collecting driving habbits camera recordings audio and cellphone data.
