carbon tips have never been my thing on any car. do they hide the soot, yes, but carbon requires different cleaning processes to keep it nice. plus, from far away, they just look black.

But can you controll AC and BC from that screen ? Because I can do that from my 10,5" Android screen (DIY)

The smoke situation, I've had similar over the years ALWAYS after engine rebuilds. The running in process is not good for turbos. Any fallout ends up in the cartridge and just wears the seals. I learnt my lesson and fitted a pre-filter (inline) but that isn't always fool proof and just another thing to leak or go wrong (+if it blocks...). However, I remove them after running in. Even your builder may not have been 100% clinical or the machine shop. It happens. I'm not sure what a bore inspection would do, but compression testing is easy and cheap. Would be surprised if it was anything other than the turbo. Be worth whipping off and dropping at a local place for inspection. Or you're replacing it no? So wouldn't worry too much if, the latter. See if it gets worse. Check the cold side and see if it's passing oil there too, make sure your return is not kinked etc. I wouldn't be too down heartened.
