This is really an excellent video. Thank you for going through the entire process to include firing which makes this video stand out from others. Beautiful pieces. We lived near DC for 9 years and loved going to see Cherry Blossoms.

My mom sent me a nice glazed mug that she put a decal phrase on. Obviously it's not going to stay on. Is there a way I can glaze over the whole outside or at least that part so it would stay? Any suggestions? She's 85 years old and this mug is very special to me

This is a great video. The only thing I recommend you don’t do is vacuum. Instead, damp mop as much as needed to remove all bits of clay. The filter on that vacuum (which I also have) isn’t enough to prevent silicosis.

Hi Audrey! I'm SO thankful for this video. I have been considering a small kiln, but the process of choosing the right one is a bit daunting. The fact that you covered the electrical requirements in such detail is a lifesaver (possibly literally. Lol). Great video & channel!

Hi Audrey - thank you so much for your inspirational videos. In your setting up a home pottery studio, you talk about a two bucket filtration system for pottery studio water. I was hoping that you could share this information with us?

I see that you have a smaller kiln. I'm looking for a kiln, I've also seen ones that are the same width (40 cm / 16'' diameter inside) but then also 46 cm / 18'' in height. I wonder, is it better to go for the 38 cm / 15'' height option when you don't have access to power supply, instead of the taller one? will it put significantly less pressure on the power grid of your house? Otherwise I want to buy the medium sized kiln instead (I'm talking about the kilns that plug into a regular outlet ofc)

Hello, thank you for sharing this. I have found this helpful. Did you make a video about the 2 bucket filter system? Also I wondered…if you were to build a workbench for wedging and hand building - what would that look like and what materials would you use?

Getting ready to buy a kiln. Watching your videos is getting me so enthused. I have money set aside to buy a medium size(?) Maybe $2500? What would you have done differently on your purchase? I have the facilities where I will be able to turn around and rent time out so that is why I want to buy a larger one. There is a need in my area.

What a beautiful studio! I just got the same kiln and found your video not only soothing but also very helpful. And if you don't mind, I have a question. I just noticed that you have set of "rolling wheels" installed under your kiln. May I ask where you got it? It makes sense, and I would love to install one for myself. Thank you for your help in advance! : )

Hello, I recently just started to learn about paint pottry and glazing as I wanted to home-make all my plant pots (in-door plant lover here). My question is that what type of paint do yourecommend me applying to the pottery before glazing and kyln-firing? I've searched Underglazes, Slips, Oxide stains, Glazes and Acrylic paint, not sure which to start with! Hope you can help me. Love your videos!

You inspired me to purchase this kiln!! It arrives tomorrow. I’m curious, is there an option to vent it out through a window with some tubing? Or does it not have any cutouts? Thanks for the video, helped me greatly in deciding on a kiln
