It was a unicorn so they may have been wings depending on which corner of the fantasy genre the sentai chose to take inspiration from. Unicorns are sometimes seen as a pegasus with a horn sometimes they're just a pony/horse with a horn

When I was a kid watching the first season of MMPR, I thought the body wasn't shown during morphing sequences because then they would have to record a new one for each of the main character's outfits

Unfortunately not. All of the "puppets" were really toys that we turned into puppets for the American series

The red dragon thunderzord puppet used on japanase footage was like the toy? Or different? Because a dragon becoming a humanoid robot was a very different thing to be made at the time

Still irks me that the series was never able to properly emulate the Sentai version of the Green Ranger's shield. The first version was a cheap foam. And even though they got the texture right they never got the gold tone correct. Instead it was a weird bronze color.

At the end of the day, 'Once and Always' is a weird project, why they didn't try to include Bulk & Skull + Austin St John in that anniversary episode ? I know Amy Jo Johnson make some convention and podcast once in a while too
