It's so remarkable how effective it was. When I was a kid watching the show, at no point did I notice... and I likely wouldn't notice as an adult either that it's stock footage. And it's not like "Oh, I was a kid, I didn't care" - I was one of those that would be bugged by stuff like Zordon suddenly being physically in the projector tube rather than in a time vortex as stated prior to 1st movie. :P

I never ever saw him that way. I saw Bulk and Skull as comedians who added their own touch to the show. They were like a blend between Beavis and Butt-head, and Statler and Waldorf. I NEVER looked down on them. I heard their theme and I knew a laugh was coming. Nothing could take their dignity away. I saw them as happy to do what they díd.

I think there is a difference there. I took that as him saying they would group scenes in places like the command center and shoot them at the same time. 4 episodes of location A shots, 4 episodes of location B shots, etc, working in two week cycles.

I think it was more so a money thing. To shoot a new zordon every episode instead of just same footage and a dubbed voice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even today you still have actors interacting with a blank green screen, or a guy in a green suit voicing a CGI character. It's not the exact same thing, but pretty similar.

The tennis ball thing isn't surprising. The fact that they only shot the actor a little bit, then blurred his mouth and reused the same tape of him over and over, that's a little surprising. Also, the fact that the person reading Zordon's lines for the actors was not at all an actor is a little surprising.

Richard Horvitz did the voice for Alpha until Apha 6 was introduced in turbo. Then Wendee Lee replaced that voice in PR in Space. There was a separate actress for the costume
