My entire channel and livestream was built off of communicating with chat. This is way, way less chat reading and responding than a normal stream. But yes, last time I did a 'blind story' type playthrough I constantly had to stop what I was doing and hide users etc.

I think that, due to human nature's inherent negativity bias, Adam feels really conscious of the comments from the sweats that have criticized all of these race themed runs for not being as "efficient" or as "correct" as he should be playing. I am, however, convinced from both the MAJORITY of Twitch chat messages and KZbin comments that most people who watch these runs love the concepts, the self-imposed challenges, and especially love the unique base designs. I hope Adam knows that the sea of disinterested, uninvested comments criticizing these clearly popular runs are not even close to representing the quiet majority that enjoys this content. Keep up the good work!

Think about it this way. He's so good that if he minmaxes a run it essentially becomes too easy for him. That gets boring. You like having fun when you play games, right? So does he. He wants to do something different for fun, and min-maxing would ruin that. Does that make sense?
