Just finished the Visual Novel, Mai was my favourite route but Ayu and Makoto are close seconds although the others are perfect as well, my head hurt from crying after each route including the Sayuri side route was not expecting that. The rap on this song does not fit the song, game or anime at all but somehow that makes it fit and is one of the strangest yet best production decisions I've ever listened to. Start of this song also nearly makes me tear up everytime due to it playing on ending CGs. Off to play AIRs VN now

My very first anime. I watched this on dvd when I was like 6 or 7 (im 18 now) and still own the discs to this day. This anime holds such a dear place in my heart and I’ll have this op stuck somewhere in my head for the rest of my life.

This is just masterfully composed. The ethereal spirit of Jun Maeda's works crystallizes and evokes some of the deepest feelings and emotions which an individual could possibly has within. Kanon is the soul of Winter but also embodies the very life of Spring within it. This is one of the finest example of what anime as a medium of expression, in its more effective and broader sense, can create potentially, something which surely enriches one's life. Gives an antidote to the utter emptiness of existence. A timeless classic.
