I have a 2013 3.8 Grand Touring coupe painted in Catalunya Copper. I bought it new in 3/13 with 34 miles. It was my daily for over 8yrs. 11 years, 62,000 miles, 3 states and two relationships later it has been hands down the best car I have ever owned. I have a few modifications nothing to crazy. It’s now just a weekend cruiser to cruise and shows. Every year I see less and less of them. I remember at the dealership they only had three of them. Mine was a special order to be a dealer demo. But I snapped it up before it even hit the lot. The Grand Touring has everything except the manual transmission, 19 inch wheels and Brembos. I have only seen one other.
@beninformato904010 күн бұрын
The answer to your question is, it really depends. A few years ago, I purchased a low-mileage, one-owner 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track, and I ultimately decided to sell it for several reasons. First, the Genesis 3.8 employs direct injection, which can lead to carbon buildup on the intake valves. While this issue can be addressed with a cleaning, it's an additional cost to consider. Additionally, I noticed some weak welds on the passenger side front quarter panel. If you hear pops and creaks from that area or sounds coming from the passenger side interior, this is likely the culprit. Aftermarket frame braces are available to reinforce that area, but a body shop would need to fix the welds and install those braces. As the car ages, sourcing parts may become more challenging, which is another concern. Moreover, what stands out to me is the lack of heritage associated with the Genesis Coupe compared to iconic models like the Miata (MX-5), Porsche, or Corvette. The Genesis Coupe is essentially a GT car masquerading as a sports car; it’s built on a sedan platform, unlike its competitors that are purpose-built sports cars with storied histories. While the Genesis can outpace a Miata off the line, once the road gets curvy, the Miata will leave it behind. I can personally attest to the joy of driving a six-speed Miata through mountain switchbacks-it’s an exhilarating experience that guarantees a smile and plenty of laughter! Having owned not only the Genesis but also other sports cars in this price range-including an NC Miata with a six-speed manual, a turbocharged Saturn Sky Redline, and a C4 Corvette with an LT1 V8-I can confidently say that the Miata, particularly with the manual transmission, is the most engaging and fun on back roads. While it might not win in a straight line, sheer horsepower isn't the only measure of a car's enjoyment. That said, I will give credit to the Genesis for its striking appearance, especially in black. The interior still exudes a premium feel, and on the highway, it handles well and offers a comfortable ride. However, I question whether it’s truly worth $17,000 when there are more authentic sports car options available for the same price.

These are a great guitar. I've owned about 14 guitars and find myself grabbing this one more often than not for playing in live situations. The neck feels amazing and I'm quite impressed by the sounds I get from it. It feels good in the hands. Honestly if people can get past the snobbery towards the idea of it being a Squier, they'll find themselves a great guitar. I got this in a trade, didn't even know what I was getting other than two guitars for one I didn't want. I like both positions but I really really like the bridge rail pickup a lot. It sings. It's the most metal guitar I have and one of the biggest surprises at that.

Here's the thing. Those $600 are what you want in a guitar. So it has a small potential audience and probably no comps to get market value. Also, you'll find out that most things are worth will be set by their lowest value part. Got a really nice house that you did a bunch of upgrades to, but the kitchen is unusable or the basement leaks? Cool, but the people that want the really nice house don't want to start with replacing a kitchen or fixing a basement because projects quickly go out of control.

For some reason I’ve never thought of putting stickers on the fingerboard like that, but it could actually have a really cool application for microtonal fretless playing. You could divide up your ranges of 12 semitones into other EDOs, and then mark them with different colored frets to indicate what’s what. Maybe you follow the pink lines for 31-EDO, blue lines for 22-EDO, and green for 19-EDO. That would be dope

I own a music store and I get this all the time with customers buying inexpensive guitars and putting a ton of money into them. I had a customer bring in a $300 Kramer and I told him that if he plans to keep it that's one thing but if he tried to sell it, it's still a $300 guitar. By the time he was done, he had $600.00 in mods into a $300 guitar. The day he picked it up he bought a PRS from me. 2 weeks later I seen the guitar on marketplace for $800, it's now down to $250 and it still hasn't sold. The moral of the story is if you're going to buy a cheap guitar and mod it, just take that money and buy a nice guitar.
@rileypaynestewartАй бұрын
@@Rich-ur4kv it’s more expensive to get what you want if you just buy a “nicer” guitar. If you mod something you can get some really high quality parts for less than if they came on the guitar from the factory. I’ve done tons of trials with this some on my channel here
@jameindarasuАй бұрын
I've been planning to buy and transition to an electric guitar for a while now. I've been looking at these guitars that aren't expensive, around mid-range, obviously like any other person I wanted one. However, I don't have the budget to buy guitars from that range. I kept hearing people say "It's not the bow, it's the archer, but an archer that has a bow with a crosshair would have sharper shots." and it crossed my mind that maybe I should just start with a cheaper guitar that has decent quality and improve with that guitar than buying branded guitars. This video convinced me to focus on improving instead of buying expensive and branded gears.
