I bought a te20 for my daughter as her first guitar - all round banger for the buck. Hers is just the standard single coil version. But i was thinking the weakest aspect was the bridge and tuners. Might consider getting her locking tuners, but I'm wondering - have you replaced the bridge already, and is there a good drop in replacement?

I have replaced the bridge with a hipshot bridge. I absolutely love it. However, it is NOT a drop in replacement. I don’t know if any drop in replacements for this guitar. The new bridge is certainly better but I don’t think I would worry about the bridge as much as everything else on this guitar. The stock bridge is okay for the guitar tbh. If you want to get a different bridge you’ll have to do some drilling or take it to a luthier.

A hipshot bridge was the best thing i did for my guitar. I would at least give their website a look and have the guitar next to you to compare. They have a lot now that are a simple direct swap. A good bridge can make a world of difference in sustain and comfort/playability. If they don't have a direct swap and you don't have a luthier you trust, then I would probably just stay stock. Tuners are simple but a bridge can ruin a guitar if done wrong

I noticed the index screw holes don't line up with the holes on the headstock. Did this cause problems for you? I just got a set and I'm worried the string tension will cause them to rotate without that screw to anchor them down

@@BlackstoneJ not an issue at all. Just disregard those holes completely you don’t need them!

@ I used the mounting plate it makes it insanely easy to
