Bernard Purdie... a living drummer legend! So glad to see him still putting on a drum clinic every time he plays.

Haha a few years ago I looked into drums, bought sticks and pads and tried a little. And here’s the fun thing: I heard Jeff play Rosanna, then heard others play Rosanna - wow what a difference. Other drummers, despite being very good, don’t come close to his exact yet human way of playing. I have a good ear for music in general, not lying, but drums? Not as much. Still it was soooo easy to hear how damn great Jeff was.

It’s interesting to see someone using traditional grip on the hi hat instead of the snare. Whenever I see someone using traditional grip it’s usually on the snare and the other hand is using non traditional grip. Steve Gadd; a master at work.

When I listen to bill withers 9/10 times it’s just this set they played in Germany 1972. Used to have the full thing on KZbin audio and video but it was taken down a few times due to copyright. Now I just have the audio download that I listen to never had a chance to save the video. Also song is “kissin’ my love” for anyone wondering
