How about tipping? How often and how much did you tip?
@PapaSteveOnTheMove12 күн бұрын
Great questions! I usually tip US $1 or MEX 20 pesos every time someone serves me a drink or at the buffet (per person). More for a-la-carte. If the bellhop does an exceptional job delivering the bags (up many flights of stairs), I will tip $5 or 50 pesos. I’ve seen others more generous but this level always gets us great service.

You will need to book tickets with Parks Canada to obtain a voucher. The voucher must be redeemed at the Lake Louise ski area. You are not able to board the shuttle from either lake for your first trip. Your Roam transit pass is entirely a separate ticket.

Would you recommend a swim up pool room and is the all inclusive 24 hours and does it included access to all areas or is there any additional costs
@PapaSteveOnTheMoveАй бұрын
@yvonneburns3855 if you like to go directly into the pool from your suite, consider the swim up suite. It could also be useful if you prefer to sleep in. The all-inclusive nature of the resort allows access to the restaurants and bars during open hours only. Each restaurant and bar keeps its own hours. There are still some Privilege areas that require additional costs up front and allow further access to some restaurants, bars and premium drinks.

Hi there Steve, thanks for the video. I'm looking for some advice. I will be staying at Ocean Riviera Paradise with my wife next month. Booked an Eden suite without realizing El Beso existed. Is there any benefit with either section of the resort aside from their relative locations? Such as if I stay with the Eden, will I not be able to access El Beso amenities? And for reference, El Beso is a bit cheaper.
@PapaSteveOnTheMoveАй бұрын
Hi @amlegrice the biggest difference is El Beso is adults only. There is a restaurant and a pool reserved with no children. The Eden has a much nicer location very close to the ocean. It depends if you prefer the adults only or the beach. In my opinion, the beach is full of seaweed and a bit windy so I would select the El Beso. Either way, you will have an excellent vacation. Enjoy!

Great video! We are planning a day trip to Moraine lake from Calgary but all the time slots for shuttle to Moraine lake are fully booked so we are thinking booking the Lake Louise shuttle first and then take the Interlake shuttle from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake as that's included in the ticket. Will there be a lot of people lining up for the connecter shuttle from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake? How much buffer time should we allow us for waiting in line? Thank you!
@PapaSteveOnTheMove2 ай бұрын
@jizhaoli2282 it could depend on the weather and possibly the date (busier on weekends and holidays) how long the lineup for the inter lake bus will be. It’s a great idea. I’m thinking arrive 15 minutes early and check the line. Then you have the option to join or to spend a few minutes doing something else.

Thanks for the memories of Little Yoho. As a teenager I went there. My last name is Yoho. When I found the park on a map I had to see what was up. As a city boy from Ohio I was out of my element. The vastness of the forest between the massive mountains gave me my first clue of how small I really am. More, the bear prints in the ground gave me a sense of true terror. In all it was like being brought to life, awake in a new way. That was 47 years ago. Thanks, Art Yoho, from Columbus.

@PapaSteveOnTheMove2 ай бұрын
@natachalada welcome to the channel! I usually book through an agent like Booking.com. I don’t trust airline/resort packages. If the savings are too good to pass up, go ahead and book but ask for an upgrade when you show up. Sometimes a good “tip” to the front desk can get you a better room. It’s a big resort and they want your money. Chichen Itza is well worth the day trip, however it is a long drive or bus ride.

At around 0:28 you state _"if arriving by air drive south from San Francisco"._ Why SFO at all when you can fly directly into Monterey airport (MRY)? Or even San Jose (SJC) is way more convenient?

@@PapaSteveOnTheMove Hello Steve and thank you for the quick reply. It's very doubtful one could save money by flying into Monterey. I used to live on the Peninsula and I knew no one that regularly used MRY for that reason. We would all drive up to San Jose and fly out from there. SJC is much closer and *way more convenient* than SFO. That's ashame too because MRY is such a cozy and friendly little airport. I first flew there when Uncle Sam sent me to Fort Ord. I fell in love with the Peninsula and always think of it as my real home. I lived there for six years after the army but it's just too expensive. Even in Seaside.
