Great practical run-down on the benefits of the mid-week rehearsal, thank you!

What if you are taking over as the worship pastor and the old worship pastor had very low skill standards for worship team membership? Right now there’s a drummer that bangs the drums so loud that you can’t hear the acoustic guitar, bass guitar, violin or harmony vocals. You have to listen really carefully to hear the worship leader when I visited the church. There’s also a backup singer who sings off key much of the time. Now you’re instituting higher skill standards BUT you’ve got folks on your team already that do not meet the standards? I’m in a bit of a dilemma.

Funny that all those mugs donating hard-earned dosh to supposedly gain salvation, and the church goes and blows it on hi-tech AV kit. Still, if they're taken in by all this nonsense make-believe in the first place, serves them right.

I've been using Eneloops ever since they came out. First they were made by Sanyo and now Panasonic. They advertise 2100 recharge cycles. Also, the kind of charger you use matters. I us a Maha Powerex MH-C9000 WizardOne.

The worship teams are over-thinking this. Too loud? Turn it down. ..or.. Here is our church's Strategic Plan for Long-Term Failure: 1) The worship leader turns up the volume. 2) Congregants complain - but it falls on "deaf ears". (pun intended) 3) Long-time congregants leave. 4) Donations drop drastically. 5) Due to budget cuts, my church has laid off 2/3 of the staff. 6) With people feeling like management is non-responsive, and with all the service reductions, more people leave. 6) Everyone wonders how long the church can survive. 7) Satan wins. Church management blames it on Covid.

I wanted to join the worship team. My summer camp has a workshop that you can be on the worship team once. I joined and they asked me to actually be on the worship team for this camp. That is because I come every year and I know the owner of this camp.

I'm just finding this. Such great nostalgia! I'd love to show a clip of this at my ProPresenter trainings. Can I get your permission to do so (and a download link that's not on KZbin)?

Of course! Can you email me or DM on social media, and I can send you the original file.

What I have found also works, is not sending the audio from recordings, straight to the stream on the mixer but rather let it be picked up by the crowd microphones, the added white noise does help mostly.

My job title is Worship & Music Director. I press that distinction.; music and worship are not synonymous. I call the band the Praise Band, and the ministry the Music Ministry. If we’re having a meeting, I say it’s a Music Ministry Team meeting, and that includes A/V.

What a cool video. have you consider switching to the Kemper or Axe Fx at all ? would that cut the necessities for all the cool pedals and also not having to worry about a tube blowing up ? thanks so much. cheers.

I completely disagree w this video Imho it’s way more important to try to find the most congregational friendly key, it’s not about the worship leader it’s about everyone being able to sing to the lord in a comfortable key

Tons of drummers advise using a click but what does that mean? All i hear is click click click at different tempos but im i supposed to hit a note at every click?
@practicalworship10 ай бұрын
A click typically is just counting the quarter notes of the measure, like if someone was counting “1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4” and you play your part to that.
