Beautiful automobile (this isn't just a car). When a Mercedes dealership was like a temple where you would go to purchase a work of art. By the way, what is the name of the track in the background?

Oh perleeze ... "their first ever loss" ... "all of these panels are the genuine replacement panels made from the same press tools". It's Wheeler Dealers without any of the knowledge but with all of the BS.

I bought a Fiat 2300S Coupé last year for nearly a third of what had been spent on it over a forty year period. Like any Italian classic the spending never stops and same with British classics, whether they are cars or motorcycles. I really think JD Classics should tell you they are wholly owned by Woodham Mortimer. NOT the original company which ripped off a lovely guy for £40M.

I hope this works. First time commenting on KZbin. Lead loading requires a specific ratio of tin and lead to work. There are ratios of 90:10 to 50:50 for different uses. Do your research for the correct ratio. Way better than epoxy filler!! Bentley and Rolls Royce would have had up to ten pounds of lead + in the new cars in the 1950s and '60s.

@Matnrach2-mf9qrАй бұрын
@@russthebiker A full restoration must take at least 1000hrs not including parts, probably a lot more. If you multiply the hourly rate by number of hours and add probably at least £30k of parts then the prices will need to rise a massive amount. At least the customers will no doubt have the best one in the world.
@russthebikerАй бұрын
@@Matnrach2-mf9qr buy a new car,run it for three to four years and see how little it is worth, a nice low mileage Cambridge recently sold for nearly 20k at auction,there are very few left as banger racers killed lots of them off,but with classic cars it is not about the money,in the same way owning a period property will often entail spending more than you will recoup on sale

Now this is interesting . Back between 1960 t0 1968 my father was provided with a new series 5 Morris Oxford every year by his employer Reed Paper Company , so I got to know them very well and latterly drove them they were a quality step just above the Austin A60 Cambridge. The nicest one we had had willow green main body with Connaught dark green roof light green leather faced seats with light green piping - they were very nice things at the times we had lots of UK touring holidays in then all over Britain . You just do not see them get full restoration because they do not have a high resale value yet restoration costs as much as a Jaguar . It will be most interesting to see it finished. I would love to see it close up ..
@russthebikerАй бұрын
My Series five is getting a full restoration, I have owned it for 30 years now, and the resale value of them is rising due to their rarity and value in film work, not bothered about value in my case as its just our car !
