Jen, all these cookies and treats recipes are just a reminder to me that it's been too long since I baked any Christmas goodies. These cookies are one of my favorites next to the chewy gingerbread cookies. I remember making these with ground up pecans and a touch of almond extract. I agree about the double dip icing sugar. The cookies look so much better and who can argue with some extra icing sugar. Thank you again for another great holiday recipe.

Hi Jen, your cookies look like heaven and probably taste like it too. I had a recipe years ago for the same cookies and somehow I lost it. So I'm glad that this year I can make your recipe. Instead of using a glass casserole dish with a lid, can I use a plastic container with a lid ? I've got a few glass casserole dishes that came with lids, but I either can't find the lids or I threw them away - LOL. Thanks for the recipe.

We just add a slice of bread into our container to keep them moist.. It does the same thing. You can do this with your brown sugar also to keep it soft. Its a good way to use the heel. The bread goes dry but everything else stays moist.

If you are going to bulk barn check there for the dipping chocolate. At least in SW Ontario I can get the melting discs there

Hi Jen, I've been buying the cold foam for about a month. I agree it is yummy, yummy. I'm addicted to it. So far I can only find it at Superstore and Safeway. The mac and cheese looks good. Those grapes look good, nice and plump. That seafoam - wowzers - you nailed it ! Can you give us the recipe please. In regards to the Liberals giving out the $250.00 cheques in the spring, I question why the annual cap is $150,000. That seems high to me. I remember years ago when I worked in HR, I was making an annual salary of $120,000 and my take home pay was about $8,000 a month. I could more than afford my lifestyle. Anyway, just my opinion. We got snow in Calgary on Monday and it has snowed every day this week. I think we've received about 12 inches. Enjoy your weekend, see you next week.

My family isn't doing anything special for Thanksgiving this year. My daughter lives in a small town about 35 minutes from me and my car isn't running well enough to take it out of town. My daughter no longer drives as she is in a wheelchair. I'm not even planning on making myself anything special for Thanksgiving. I'm thankful every day for what God blesses me with so I don't need a special day for that.

I have had to use the food bank a few years ago. I thank God that there are food banks to help those who need it.

We can only go to our food bank every other month.

I always do my shopping all at once each month. I may have to go back for milk or bread, but not usually. I live in North Central Iowa. I've gotten most of my winter stock up. I just have a few other things to get. God bless you and your family.
