The flip up deck is one of the best feture . Easy blade sharpen or change . very heavy duty machines . Good choice .

Just found this, thanks. I’m looking at a used one, and this is my #1 favorite feature. I ran across a a product many years ago called Mo Deck. It’s basically a clear lacquer to spray on a clean dry deck and it really prevents a lot of buildup. So every year, off season, I wire brush any dried stuff, hose it down, let it dry, soak it with Mo Deck, let it dry in the sun. Bonus, it keeps it from rusting too. Maybe any slick paint would work?? If I like test drive, I’m looking forward to working on a deck this way!

First off, thank you. Overall it has good cut quality. I haven’t had much clumping with wet grass. Maybe a little if it is wet and tall enough but even then not much. And it does quite well with tall grass.

Hello. It is a Country Clipper, the XLT model with joystick steering.
@meandthemrs7403
@meandthemrs7403 4 ай бұрын
Hope you are still liking your XLT. I've got a 2012 CC Jazee Pro. It's the older predecessor to the XLT. They have made a lot of changes to them over the years. Mine also has the Kawasaki and 52" deck. Never had any problem with the motor. Change my oil and sharpen the blades every 50 hours. Plenty of power. I think it could have handled the 60" deck. Finally had to change the deck belt last year at about a 1000 hours. Still on the original deck spindles. Had to put a new electric clutch on it 2 or 3 years ago. May I recommend the "gator" type blades. CC does sell them. They mulch the grass a little better and don't pull quite as hard as normal blades. They don't work as well in wet grass. Better to use in the hotter months. Also grease your front wheel pivots when you change your oil. Wouldn't own anything but a CC. (Unless someone else were to offer the joystick control, maybe).
@staceyshereandthere

Hello. Thank for this, it is really good to hear here the longevity of the machine, with regular maintenance of course. Yes I do still have the XLT and I love it. I am aware of the gator blades and my dealer sells them as well, I plan to pick a set up this year (good to hear about the wet grass). Well thanks again for watching and commenting and keep enjoying your machine. Take care.

I’ve got one just like it. 2021 model. How do you turn without tearing up grass on inside tire? Must be a trick to it but I haven’t figured it out
@staceyshereandthere
@staceyshereandthere 6 ай бұрын
It takes time to learn for sure. I don’t do “zero turns” with it, I do almost like a Y when turning (when stripping grass). At end of line steer to the left a bit, back up to the right, then go forward down your next line. The idea is to keep both tires moving (in either direction) when turning to avoid tearing up grass.
