7 strings.....wow......that is an amazing piece of music you've created. And are those fake nails on your left hand?......you have taken this music to another level of expertise and mellowness. Are you actually playing through that Fender amp?.... and you have a plethora of effects pedals, yet it doesn't sound overly "layered". Beautiful
@BrianGrahammusic2 ай бұрын
@@kevinwatkins3856 Yeah the nails are fake. The fender amp is just a video prop. Haha I’m actually playing through a polytone mini brute. None of the pedals there are actually turned on besides the TC hall of fame. No effects used other than the one reverb pedal. Thank you for the kind words!! It means a lot 🙏

kindof living my sentimental mood music period. Jim Hall, and a lot of version, scanning all around. this is an absolute gem, you have an excellent taste and skill for atmosphere and style, the piece you do here has the very rare quality of bringing the listener to a journey. i feel the melody and moves my mood, and I forget about focusing into the small guitar playing thingies. art !

I have an Eastman AR810CE (6-string). What brand and gauge strings do you use please? Thank you! (I know you tune down a full step, but I love the sound of your strings in addition to the rest of your performance and production.)
@BrianGrahammusic3 ай бұрын
Hey! in this video im using D'addario flat wound chromes 11-50 (7th=65). Also at this time I was using zero fingernail/100% flesh, which I think is a really big part of the sound im getting here. I like the sound but I find it MUCH harder to play this way so ive recently gone back to playing with fingernails. Im now experimenting with tapewound strings to compensate for the loss of warmth that comes with fingernails. Who knows where ill end up haha hope this helps!
@RandyScottGuitar3 ай бұрын
@@BrianGrahammusic Hey thanks very much! I thought they were Chromes. Good luck with tapes -- I found LaBella medium-gauge tapes way too "pitchy," and the heavy-gauge bottom strings don't fit through my tailpiece slots. Very comfortable though. I'm going to give Chromes yet another try -- after my next upload -- after hearing you use them. Thanks again, Brian.
