Yup, SR20DE. Although for 96, it has the lowport, which makes a bit less power than the earlier highports. But a cam swap is easy (only the intake cam needs to be swapped. Exhaust is the same).

Very cool! Nissan Primera in the rest of the world if you were to look for parts overseas. Was in the OG Gran Turismo as the Primera 2.0Te for '90 (used market, cheap enough to be a starter car option) and '95 (new from the Nissan Dealership)
@KsanasLagerАй бұрын
They have same power as for 150hp variants lowport just shifted torque curve to left altought it can get more power with highport cam that has higger lift and to that knock sensor it pain to do while engine is in car @@SkylineFTW97

3rz has no timing belt which is nice yeah but its important to check your valve clearance on these and adjust if needed

Hey, mate. I love 3rd gen 4runners, the lower ball joint you talked about, yep I learned that the hard way. Lucky for my wife the tired came off on the street, not the highway. 1999 was my first 4runner some druggie wrecked it in a parking lot (total loss), then bought a 1997 sadly we didn't notice it had a water leak and yes we (wife) fried it (what a reliable truck-it kept going after many many breakdown due to water pump/leak issue). In 2019 bought one with low mileage 146k , love my truck, raised it up to 4". I do maintaining it professionally. The throttle body went out it was a challenge to find one as they dont sell it in auto parts store. Other than regular maintenance these trucks are practically indestructible.

I have one almost exactly like this, except mine's the EX not an LX. Still yellow, still manual, and it's an absolutely fantastic little car! These things are great!
@SkylineFTW972 жыл бұрын
Like I said in the video, I specifically went LX because I wanted the keyed ignition. But I've driven plenty of EXs at the dealership I work at. They get the fancy radio and I think a couple extra speakers on top of the factory 16" wheels. Although they get the chrome trim instead of the black trim this car has, and I prefer the black.

If it starts on starting fluid that means its not getting fuel, why would you keep trying to start it and why would you wait until you half killed the starter to attempt the starting fluid...

Thank you! So sick of seeing will it run videos where all they do is just try the same thing over and over and over and just burning the starters up instead of doing any real diagnosing and expecting it to magically work
@Old-Tires2 жыл бұрын
Like the video the older Civics will run almost forever as long as the maintenance is kept up. I purchased a 99 Civic EX Coupe close to 3 and a half years ago car had almost a brand new timing belt when I purchased it the only things I had to do with the car was basic maintenance like oil changes, fuel filter, brake pads, battery and replacing upper radiator hose two times never had issues with any of the other coolent hoses caught the issue before the car overheated the only mechanical issue I had with the car since purchasing it that intermittently affected the running of the car was the distributor I installed distributor from advance auto and the car does not have intermittent misfire or jerking or hard starting or intermittent crank no start anymore car has 164,060 miles and runs absolutely perfect.
@andrewnemeth31492 жыл бұрын
If you crank it there long and it will not fun on its own power there is other issues. You think you keep cranking it it will magically start. NOOI!

I saw a video and tried it on my 2011 Civic headlights. Spray oven cleaner on them! Still had to polish a bit, but the yellow came right off! Amazing! I had a 2000 Civic EX, drivers regulator went out, got one from EBAY, never worked or aligned right, motor burned out in 2 weeks. Had to go to Honda and paid alot for the frame, and put the motor off the original on, worked like a champ. Sometimes OEM is the only way to go. When I did timing belt, got the kit, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, and valve cover gasket from Honda.
