I don't understand I have the exact same one you do. Out of the box exact same yet when I downloaded the app on mine it doesn't have the option to do anything about lighting effects. Nor do I have built-in LED lights like I've seen other people have on their v8s. Why does it feel like i got jipped?

Thanks Spider! This video gave me confidence and saved me the ludicrous $180 charge to have the bike shipped to a bike shop for assembly. For some strange reason, Aventon keeps changing up the packaging. I got mine yesterday, assembled it last night, and took it for my first ride this morning. The four white tabs on the box are different. There was no latch you could (or at least I couldn't) trigger with my fingers to open it up and pull the white tab out. I had to ply each trigger open with one of the screwdrivers that came with the toolkit. Your video doesn't mention the motor protector tabs, so hopefully I put those on correctly. The instruction manual isn't very good, and Aventon's own assembly video is far worse than yours. In my box, there was a lot of cardboard and paper but there were also zip ties I had to cut with scissors. They were mercifully all white so I wouldn't confuse a zip tie with a black cable and cut that by mistake! There was also a plastic piece you have to step on and pull the front of the bike up to release it so you could put the front wheel on its axle. Aventon's instruction manual clarifies that, but watching your video, you don't see the plastic piece is there to begin with. You make installing the handlebars look so easy! It took me a while, because the cables were a tangled mess that got in the way and took some time for me to arrange them in such a way they weren't getting in the way as I loosened it to fit the handlebars on. Finding the right tool to tighten each of the screws was tricky for me. That little tool Aventon sends apart from the wrench is something like 8 different screwdrivers or hex keys of varying sizes, with no clear instructions of which to use, where. After my first ride I can see I still need to fine tune tightening the handle bars because they're not as tight as they should be. While the box includes front and rear reflectors and you show that in the video, there's no instruction from you, in Aventon's assembly video, or in their written manual how to attach those to the bike. Given the piece each reflector hooks onto, my guess is for the red one, you remove the seat, put the reflector with its circular plastic attachment thingy on the post, and then put the seat back on the post. With the white reflector, I'd expect that to go on the post before attaching the handlebars or something like that. I don't knooooooow lol I'll figure it out some day. Anyway, thanks for the video!! It's incredibly helpful.

At 6:00 had you used more than one grit of sandpaper ? 7:40 probably could have done a rinse/wipe and then used some more buffing polish with the drill depending on what you see after flushing the debris away. I think there is a technique for moving the sponge with the clearcoat slow and deliberate so that the plastic has a chance to "drink" the clearcoat solution. Like you said,with some of the products you can only do one coat of it or it will smear and not "level" . So don't want to leave any gaps. I'd recommend having at least 3 of those fancy soft wiping car care clothes at hand, before starting to put on the clearcoat you must be absolutely dry and clean,also don't want any rain or dew getting on the headlight for preferably several hours and the cure might take several days to reach full hardness- don't wash it or scrub it for a week or so I see you were able to get away from doing a second coat of clear, that's probably good. I think the Ceracote will smear up if you tried to do that.

IMO your seat is too low

You are right on point with everything, although I've gotten mine up to 60mph in the right conditions. The street tires lasted 3300 miles for me. Replaced with all-terrain tires, and they make a huge difference. Great review! Is there a better scooter yet?

do you need to run into the adaptor or can you run the monitors straight into the IMAC, i have 2 adaptors and trying to run straight to the cpu and 1 of the screens runs fine but when the second hooks up it has issues

i got this bike and mine goes over 20 mph no pedaling then i went into the setting turned the speed to 61 and it feels like i got more power. im a big guy 6 foot 380 and have hit 37 down hill. this bike got me riding again. i got almost 100 miles on it
