Couple quick observations - always buy the 5 and 9; takes the vig after it hits, just like the 4 & 10. Also, the only "strategy " that will work over the long haul is to not play, as they take a cut on every bet, except the odds on the pass. So the Pass or the Don't give your best odds. Period. All the so-called strategies do (and I have mine also) is give you a narrative that is entertaining
@ProCraps5 күн бұрын
Absolutely, always buy the 5/9 on bubble craps, since it allows for it. Although the odds on the pass/don't are "Free" that doesn't mean they're your best odds to win the bets, only that they're the purest payouts. There's a nuance to that frequently gets lost in translation. A smart player doesn't keep throwing good money after bad, and knows how to quit when they're ahead. The nice thing about the Bubble machines is that the barrier to entry is very low, so you can usually endure dry spells longer with less bankroll. A great tool for learning the game without getting punched in the face.

I appreciate this video. I especially enjoyed the interview with The Wizard of Odds. At @15:32 John calls the odds bet "one of the lowest bets" and a "danger play" that he doesn't recommend. I don't know what is meant by a lowest bet. The odds bet, when made behind either a pass line, don't pass, come, or don't come bet, has absolutely zero house advantage. The Wizard himself said he'd prefer a Don't bet with odds rather than a Don't without. The justification given against making an odds bet is that one has to "lay a bunch of money out there to win a bit less." While it may be true, that argument is flawed. If I'm boxing Tyson and the bookies are offering 1 to 10 on Tyson (bet $100 win only $10), is a bet on Tyson and good bet? My point is the odds bet (aka the "free" odds bet) is one of the best bets in the house. It may be the *only* wager without an advantage to the casino. This hold true no matter if made behind a dark side or a "right side" wager. John correctly points out that odds bets made behind a dark side point can be taken down anytime at the player's request. They are not contract bets. Would the casino allow this if the casino had an edge on that bet? Other than discounting the value of odds bets, this was an informative video that I greatly appreciate. BTW, I'm a relative novice who invites criticism. Everything I write is subject to revision.

So long as the ratios are the same, any level is "great" ... but given a $2k buy-in, I'm 100% ok with the $500 level like that and bringing back a couple of blacks before quitting. It's a lesson I've learned during the big bankroll build series we did
@kcpiranha5818 күн бұрын
I dont like risking my money for that many rolls. It would be better to bet the max you're willing to bet on a single shooter, try to hit twice pull down yoyr bets and play with the winnings. Myself, I would come to the table with $2k, bet $220 on the inside numbers, hit twice, take that $140 and play with that. I would probably play $40 on 5/9 and $30 on 6/8. Same deal, go for two hits, pull them down and wait for the 7 if you're fortunate enough. This way you are only risking for two hits. I dont like playing the 4 and 10 because it's putting more at risk for numbers that are hard to hit. The key is to not expose your money to excess rolls. You could even decide to take the $140 as profit and head to the house. Hit it and quit it.

Yes, if you roll the dice more times over on the table the chance of rolling a 7 are better! You get closer to 0 as the math would say! Any time I want to roll a 7 I make sure to roll the dice down the table. When I roll I try to eliminate any variations, so I’m trying to get close to 0 mistakes. Believe me I know right away if it’s a bad roll and it always turns 7 because that’s we call asku that being said by rolling the dice down the table deliberately rolling them over and over you will produce more sevens. It’s math One of the first Chanel’s I subscribed to was 555 so you really got me thinking about the game seriously so I do thank you awesome thinker for sure! I will share this if I may, if you’re practicing 555 go that way in Vegas if you’re playing the pass line do that in practice and Vegas. reason is you’ll star rolling for you’re strategy. It’s the power of thought combined with chance it just happens naturally. That’s my take on the game! Practice what you actually will play! Also you said it, know the pay outs! Truth. Lastly and I shut up after, if you’re playing don’t and someone complains, tell them to go to a crapless table I know the casinos that have them so I can happily recommend the journey! if don’t wasn’t meant to be it wouldn’t be on the table, enjoy

I just happened upon this now. The field gives you coverage of horn numbers and 4,9,10. Why not take that $16 and spread onto those box numbers and horn immediately for $34 or so since payouts are about the same? Are you just trying to avoid more at risk initially? Also what is gained by waiting for the point to be established since the cross is all non 7 numbers? On some of your initial rolls the field would have won big.
@ProCraps21 күн бұрын
For me, the thought process is using the field to feed the box numbers (pretty much never collect) and then using the horn and pressed or two-fer box wins to feed my rack.

Try and not think in terms of dollars but in units. So if it's a $5 table, a unit is $5, $10 tables, it's $10, etc. So scaling becomes easy to do that way. My favorite level for this one is 2 units on the Don't Pass and then 3 Come Bets of 1 unit each. That way, on rolls 1, 2 and 3 you will profit on the 7 and if all the come bets move to actual numbers, then the worst scenario is that you only lose 1 unit on the 7 or 2 units if they hit the point and knock down your don't pass I play this a lot live on "The Coffee Run" show on the @casinogamingtv channel if you want to watch me work it every day.

I would normally agree, but if you watched my Daily Paycheck series on CGTV, I did this for a few months straight and had a 78% survival rate with it (variance, I know) and made it work. I did it purely focused on 2 rolls and stop. So you either lose it all, or you win/lose 1/3 $320 Across Win on Roll 1 = ~$70, regress to $160 Win on Roll 2 = ~$35 and you're home with $100+ in profit If you lose on roll 1, it sucks and you're out $320 If you lose on roll 2, it's not so bad, you're out about $90 Otherwise, you're ok. I've come to rely on this one if I don't try and stretch it to 3, and if I'm not burning the profits on more play. Get in and go home, it's a great coffee run play for me.

Do you track Roulette cross patterns with the dealers name, and do you ever use tracking sheets for each spin for Roulette. I say this due to my knowledge and experience with dealers steering. I only play first/last 18, red/black, and even/odd and I cover the 0, 00 split if I'm betting over a 100 per spin on $25 tables. I don't play high limit Roulette. I'm a Grinder. I know dealers that can hit the same number 4 to 6 times in a row for American Roulette. I process the same number differently than some players do. Dealers hide their skill by using cross pattern spin hits. Example: 0, 00, 5, 6 to me are the same number. Some dealers claim they can't steer but I know better. Years ago when I first started to play, I tracked and wrote down every spin with the dealer name. I never used a club card and the Pit Boss would brief and instruct the dealer how to play me. When I got up over 3,000 dollars they would send in a Asian Pro Dealer to try to beat me. This gentleman could straight out of the gate hit 4 or more exact cross patterns in a row. I was smart enough to never bet before the dealer and he was still able to challenge me. I would normally walk away and change tables. There is no such thing as 35:1 or 1:1 odds for Roulette since the dealer can steer the ball. If you were to bet Red/Black every spin the dealer is going to chop the spins to alternate between black/red/0, 00. I have learned to only bet the six bets I listed plus I cover with the 0, 00 split when needed. I rarely chop anymore. I never bet unless I have two of the six ways I bet hit twice in a series like 9, 31 then I chase the win for odd. If it went 9, 31, 4 I would then switch to black since black hit twice with 31, 4. If the ball jumps to a non series that didn't hit twice, I hold my bets until a series hits twice again. I now stop betting until I get a positive series started. This strategy lessens me having to cover a series of flipping numbers and increases my streaks. If you flip a chopping series you could end up losing 3 or 4 bets in a row. Also if the dealer is flipping the ball/or chopping the wheel you will probably be missing out with long streak of even/odd, or first/last 18. If someone is betting large bets during a flipping series and they are hitting 5, or 6 or numbers beside them, I may bet on 0, 00 after the dealer spins. The dealer is more likely to hit the 0, 00 during a series of flipping black/red. (Track Roulette for a week or so on a table with only 2 to 3 players and you will see a pattern with cross numbers/and trends with dealers flipping and hitting 0, 00 when players are making large bets and not covering the 0, 00.) If I were to play the inside if would be playing against the other players bet while only betting minimum bets to keep the focus not on me. Note: I only play the inside if the table is crowded and I'm using marked nickles, quarters and 100 dollar chips. I never buy unmarked marker chips. I don't like the dealer know how many chips I have. 99 percent of my table play is outside. 1 to 3 thousand bankroll. 1 to 3 thousand goal to get ahead. Session would last up 6 to 10 hours straight without needing to re-up again. Most of my bets 1x to 3x of minimum bet. Just a thought. The longer you play, the goal is to be so bored that the game involves no emotion or thrill. To use the same strategy you started with and don't raise your betting amounts when your ahead. I also pay Master level in Billiards, Chess and I use to work as a Corporate Trainer with forming Standardized methods for Time Management for Horticulture firms.

Betting "darkside" is a bad bet. The mathematical edge of betting darkside is so small (~0.05% or less) that it doesn’t outweigh the psychological benefits of playing with the table. You're 100% right: the casino prefers everyone to be on the same side, and so do the dealers. You play darkside because you're a mathematical gambler. That's fine, but the majority of gamblers are EMOTIONAL gamblers, and that's what the casino is primarily concerned with. You might walk up to the rail at a table because you know the odds. The majority step up to the rail and put money down because they see people having fun, cheering, getting excited. Even a single darksider at the table is a "cooler," he is putting the brakes on the vibe. Instead of everyone getting excited and cheering and sighing together as they win and lose, now someone is cheering for "the other team" and is acting as counterweight to that "wave" that is the "table vibe." It doesn't matter if this is rational or not, or true or not. Again, this is EMOTIONAL, and largely superstitious. Old-timers call a darksider a "Jonah," as in "he's bringing bad luck and gonna sink the ship, toss him overboard ASAP." When it comes to gambling in a brick-and-mortar establishment, the mood of the dealers is important, and nothing makes dealers happier than a cheerful, easy table that is tipping a lot, especially if they can ride the tips as bets with the players. Darksiders make tables more tense, they bring a feel of competitiveness, the darksider draws the ire of the players and becomes an emotional target as a tangible "enemy." I've seen people about to fight guys for placing DP bets. This extra tension is hard on dealers, and they usually won't let a tip ride as a bet on the Don't Pass because it is seen as splitting the players, so they're cut out of some of the action. Anyway, basically I'm saying there are a lot of kinds of "winning." The casino wants the players to "win" by having a good time, leaving with good feelings, wanting to come back again. A player can win by making some dealer friends with his tips, which leads to some VIP treatment with comps and drinks and so on, so that even when he loses at the table he wins something. A darksider is just out to win money by calculating the best odds, but the house edge is still there, so not only does the darksider not make any friends with the dealers or the casino or anyone at the table (often losing the benefits that happy dealers and pitbosses can get you) he still loses mathematically in the long-run. Not worth the 0.05% edge.

Here is a more tangible illustration: You and I both walk up to a craps table with $1000. I play pass-line with odds behind, you play don't pass with odds behind. The house has a 1.41% edge on me, and a 1.36% edge on you. So over the course of an hour we both break even minus house edge after paying out $20 in tips and walk from the table. I've lost $14.10, and you've lost $13.60 to the house. But the superstitious culture about the darkside bettors means that the dealers view you with suspicion, the other players considered you a blight on the table, people were unhappy to have you around, the pitboss passes by and shakes his head. The dealers weren't able to play your tips as bets. So even though you tipped the dealers the same amount as me, the dealers had more fun playing with my tips. The croupier walks over to the pitboss and gets me my surf and turf comped from the steakhouse. So you saved $0.50 cents on house edge because you chose a mathematically superior strategy, and I got a $30 meal comp because I chose a socially/psychologically superior strategy. And this effect compounds the more you play at the same tables, with the same dealer pool, at the same casino. Eventually you and I will both earn a reputation with the staff, and even if we both tip exactly the same, "somehow" they will end up liking me more and treating me better. Yes, this is absolutely a way that the casino manipulates players to "play how the house wants." Yes, the house does all kinds of things to punish darkside players. Yes, it's bullshit. It's also true at a lot of casinos (at least in Nevada where I grew up and learned to gamble).

The emotion is real, for sure. If I'm looking to just grind, though and even just to do some tossing practice from the don't with an ATS on a live table, it's a solid way to go after it and not worry.
