4:42 aspects ratio change done on purpose? Cool stuff tho.

Hi thanks for watching! yeah several aspect ratios changes done on purpose. Depending on the format and the lens used.

Hey, great shots man. I was wondering how much the lens would vignette on the wide end when framing for 16:9 or 1.66.1 ? How much do you have to crop ? Cheers,
@danielp_adams20 күн бұрын
Hi thanks for watching! depens on the camera. On my Red Dragon-x i can shoot 2.5K HD with no cropping in post. On my Zcam F6 i have to shoot in s16 mode and crop about 1.2 in post for a 16:9 frame. No need to crop if shooting 4:3 or 2.35

Love the grade. Which lens did you use for the zoom shots at the end of the intro? or slider? fantastic shots, especially the face shot.

This is absolutely stellar. I've never seen digital images replicate film like this. Did you use an emulation?

Hi thanks for watching! This was graded in Resolve using SERR Film Vision II as a base with some tweaks. The lens plays a big role in the look though! Cheers!

Cool thanks for watching man! i found a pretty good copy from someone in Europe that had just serviced the lens. After import fees and shipping it came out to about 3000 USD. Hope that helps!

Meanwhile I have become tired of using vintage manual lenses, now I prefer modern automatic lenses, although I keep many vintage Arriflex cine lenses from Cooke, Angenieux, Zeiss, Schneider, Kinoptik and so on.

Thanks for this! I think you're the only reviewer that showed you can use the adapter with a rail system as opposed to just screwing it onto the lens. Noob question, how close should the adapter be to the taking lens when using rails? Should it almost touch the front element? With the rail setup, I'm temped to try it on the BMPCC 4k with manual (7 Artisans) lenses.
@danielp_adams7 ай бұрын
The adapter should be as close as possible to the taking lens, I use mine touching the front. Thanks for watching!
