Dan Forrest always writes such beautiful keyboard accompaniments; this is certainly no exception. I loved playing it on piano.

My choir did this a couple of years and ago and it is one of my all time favorites. SO beautiful, so profound, so comforting.

Deep worship in spirit and truth. What is the lovely deep horn? Is it a French horn or a muffled Trombone?
@BeckenhorstPress27 күн бұрын
Glad you enjoy it. Yes, the opening brass line is a French horn.

The piano melody and cello are so clear, pure, and beautiful. And that voice-so elegant, perfectly restrained without being overdone, and packed with emotion-is just amazing.😊

This hymn is so touching to me for it reflects my whole lifetime. By following it, I also reflected my past ignorance and rebellion towards my dear Lord and then praise His grace and love to bring me back to the right tracks… all in all, after the great repentance, I pray and praise His Name all the time now.

Saw this performed in Dallas recently with a 150 piece choir and oh man, what an experience. Brought so many of us to tears. The intensity of the choir at the end was such a beautiful sensation to feel and absorb. It was magical.

See amid the winter's snow Born for us on earth below See the tender Lamb appears Promised from eternal years Hail, thou ever blessed morn Hail, redemption's happy dawn Sing through all Jerusalem Christ is born in Bethlehem Say, ye holy shepherds, say What your joyful news today Wherefore have ye left your sheep On the lonely mountain steep? Hail, thou ever blessed morn Hail, redemption's happy dawn Sing through all Jerusalem Christ is born in Bethlehem Sacred infant, all divine What a tender love was thine Thus to come from highest bliss Down to such a world as this Hail, thou ever blessed morn Hail, redemption's happy dawn Sing through all Jerusalem Christ is born in Bethlehem Hail, thou ever blessed morn Hail, redemption's happy dawn Sing through all Jerusalem Christ is born in Bethlehem

After learning, and getting to sing, Come, by Dan Forrest, with our choir at one of our winter concerts, I have enjoyed his work sooo much. So when our director was trying to decide on music for this winter's concert, I piped up and asked for something by him. I got my answer in two gorgeous melodies that thrilled me so much! Let the Stable still Asonish, and the Work of Christmas are both being sung by our choir, along with several other selections. I think our director, Alice Boyer. Likes him as much as I do!!

Thank you, Dan Forrest, for sharing your witness of the Savior through sacred music. This rendition of Psalm 121 is stunningly beautiful and my soul raises to join in song in recognition of His divinity. I have loved John Rutter's version of this psalm for decades, but this one is becoming a new favorite. One of the finest and moves me in deep ways.
