My daughter's high school choir just did this for their end of year concert. GORGEOUS. (Daughter played the accompaniment; it is not easy! But so lovely. ♥)

Measure me, sky! Tell me I reach by a song Nearer the stars; I have been little so long. Weigh me, high wind! What will your wild scales record? Profit of pain, Joy by the weight of a word. Horizon, reach out! Catch at my hands, stretch me taut, Rim of the world: Widen my eyes by a thought. Sky, be my depth, Wind, be my width and my height, World, my heart's span; Loveliness, wings for my flight. - Leonora Speyer (7 November 1872 - 10 February 1956)

We performed this for our most recent choir concert. It was my favorite.

This accompaniment is incredible, great use of appropriate time signatures at opportune moments. A thrill to listen to over and over again!

Absolutely beautiful! Wonderful expression. Thanks for maintaining social distance. I am disappointed that the conductor and singers weren't wearing masks as suggested by the Colorado/Maryland University Lab Research. I know it would have impacted the sound somewhat, but . . .

John- Thank you for your kind wording, and that's fair. This video was recorded in summer 2020; we definitely encourage choirs to comply with all current recommended safety protocols including masks. We don't want this video used as any kind of "opposition" to current safety guidelines; we just want to share Jon's lovely music! All best.

Amazing voices and heart, please forget the masks. We have been manipulated out of spreading the joy of music. Our instruments will not be silenced any more. (from a cellist)
