Call me crazy but DJ has earned his chance to be the 3rd baseman. You cant just count him out. Its tough and hard coming back from any injuries. If he doesnt do anything by july, then bench him. But he deserves his chance and im sure he is putting in work right now to get back to 2021 DJ

We are all amazed how Hal comes out every winter with some rather bizarre quotes such as recent " we can't compete with the Dodgers". It's not what Yankee Fans want to hear. I for one, am unable to understand the team with the most revenue comes up with this stupidity. I am not sure if it's 800M or over that in revenues. The fire point I am getting at here is he pays too much attention to the luxury tax. If the Yankees want to sell the team and I sure am all for it, my picks are billionaires like Musk. The LeMahieu situation is ridiculous, how can they be this stupid? They deserve to see him out there stumbling around like he's 85 years old. He's making a fool of himself and the front office. You clown. Not signing Soto was the best move. Had the Yankees gotten into a bidding war with the Mets (which they would have lost), they wouldn’t have been able to go out and get all which they have this offseason. Fried is not washed; neither is Devin Williams. And Bellinger will shine in Yankee Stadium

@@chibuezeezike5372 What have the Yankees done that is so transformational? They signed Fried and traded / signed 3 one year rentals. They're just patching things up. Maybe that's the right strategy if their plan is to wait until next offseason when they can open up the wallet. But it is what it is. They're still going to have all the same holes in their lineup, in the bullpen and on the bench a year from now. Congratulations to them for kicking the can down the road another year. They have ZERO 2025 MLB ready prospects past Dominguez on the farm that can either be traded or promoted this year. Their pitching staff on the surface is strong and has now become the backbone, Rock of Gibraltar component of the team for 2025. Except when you look a level deeper, 4 of the 5 projected starters are former Tommy John recipients in the recent past (Fried, Gil, Schmidt, Rodon - add Devin Williams to that list). In 2024 Garrett Cole missed 3 months rehabbing from a forearm injury that narrowly avoided TJ surgery and would've wiped out the Yankees season for sure. In 2019 Luke Weaver missed practically the entire season rehabbing from an elbow injury and like Cole, narrowly missed going under the knife. We're talking about a 162 game marathon and you think the Yankees are 100% ready for that? What do the Yankees have to fallback on if any of these studs go down which seems pretty likely given their history? Marcus Stroman? Of course not! JMO but I think you need to be considerably more skeptical about 2025.

34% of the payroll among the top 5 teams in 2005 went towards the Yankees. Only 24 % of the top 5 in 2025 payroll is spent towards Dodgers players. Dodgers would have to spend another 150 million to have a comparable payroll to what the Yankees had in 2005. The reason why it feels like the Dodgers payroll is so much higher than any other team is because they have hardly any bad payroll, only the 15 million towards Chris Taylor. And they also have players making less than what they should. The real issue fans and teams have with the Dodgers is how well they have spent their money, had they spent 90 million on 38 year old starters like the Mets did a few years ago nobody would care.

Love the podcasts you have gents. This dialogue from Hal is unacceptable to us Yankee fans. If he is posturing to sell the team go contact Bezos or Musk because you have men that will give us back Yankee Championships. Brian Cashman, for all the flack he takes, is hand cuffed because the owner and his investors are greedy over this threshold. For God Sakes, it's only money and they have an abundance. I would like you gents to break down last years revenues and show how much profit the Yankees make. Hal just camoflages to appease us when he knows if he waits long enough Bregman will sign elsewhere and we live at third base with a utility player. It's apparent that players like Judge do not want to publicly actively put pressure on Hal but he should.

Hal said the truth and people do not like it. LA will have alot of issues when it comes to payroll. Right now it's cool but they will feel it. I did not want soto for over 550 million. Ohtani got 700 for both pitching and batting. We gonna spend 765m for just 1 bat? Cmon let's get real. And what do you think will come with a player that is cocky and is getting paid 765m? He will ask for more in 3 years. He will be a huge headache for the mets, we dodged a bullet.
