Nice trailer, curious if you can share the source of large aluminum skin you got it from

pretty nice one! But I wouldn`t go for that fibre insulation, it is pretty sensitive to humidity and is said to shrink then and not to go back to the original shape. Besides that, among allthe diy trailers I watched in YT - probably the nicest one and not that extreme small. Realistic use and some bad weather time spent in will not feel like in a cave.

I like your design, like your construction process, love the look of the final product, and I like your video. I love that you made that fucking thing from scratch, I think that's the coolest thing ever. Wish I knew how to weld. I wanted to weld one and someone advised me that it's hard to do. I suspect that guy just was hating on me cuz he knows how to weld and he doesn't want other people to learn quickly to do something he took years to get to but anyway I took his advice to heart a little bit. Good spot for the AC that's clever. wow small battery that's interesting. I bet you regret those blinds? They must move a lot when you're travelling. Any lessons from all this? You must have used it a little bit. I mean there are some things in this design that are not what I am looking for because my abilities don't exactly match yours (for example welding), and my needs are different from yours, and also my preference is probably just to use foam and either pmf or fiberglass, plus a few other specialty design constraints that I want, but overall I'm gonna say that's about the best simple build I've seen. Pretty cool. I like the simplicity. But it's not badly made or badly designed, it's just simple. Like that AC shows a lot of thought but the overall design is simple. Very clever, I'm really impressed by your skills and your design work, thank you.

Wow I love the build technique . Best I've seen on here. Im going to do one myself but a toy hauler shape . Same type construction as you did here. One other idea I had was a thinner SIP panel construction technique . Would be super fast and easy and extremely easy and cheap to heat and cool . Drawback is you would have to weld up a press to make the panels if you didnt want to buy them premade .

Mine will be a bit simpler, solar panels on roof. 2 deep cycle batteries and walls will be built inside out, inside and rafters first, then insulation next full wrap with water proof heavy plastic sheeting, then put on the exterior metal

Very nice. Couple of questions. #1. What type of glue did you use to hold the aluminum to the plywood? #2. How did you apply uniform pressure to the panels to ensure that the aluminum was properly bonded to the plywood? Thanks.

I don't build anymore, but I tried every type of adhesive, nothing holds very long because of the expansion, contraction of the aluminum, clear silicon seemed to work best, what I should have been using was 3m body molding tape, but it is expensive, I just glued the aluminum with the wall laying flat and a sheet of plyboard and weights on top

This looks like a great quality build! I saw you used a few different techniques to form the curved frames; plywood, laminated strips, and bent square tubing. Which did you prefer? If you did it again would you use 1 single technique for the whole build?
