As a Northern-born woman, I have been loving your content for a handful of years now. Would you ever consider filming a Q & A session, what was your life like growing up/what inspires you/what are your must-visit locations in the South? Your voice has kept me company on many a solo road trip. Thank you! Your content is wonderful.

I'm here in GA, and always wanted to avoid this area, but found myself traveling through Appling GA for work. Hauntings like this was actually common back in the day that no one openly discussed outside the family. I think if the home was haunted then, it's still haunted to this day. Poltergeist are usually caused by adolescent females. I grew up with paranormal things happening but not like this. It's the land not the house. Whatever is there now, it's probably still haunted.

First, I hated that squiggly line and the bland voice. Pronunciations are horrible! Also, why is there no mention of Captain W's illegitimate children by his slave? The will specified that half of the estate would go to his white children, and half to his three mixed children. It was theorized that Tom wanted to kill them as well, to inherit the entire huge estate. I know some of those family members. The estate is long gone.

I grew up in Murfreesboro, TN and would spend many nights at my cousin’s house who lived in Chapel Hill. He told me this urban legend one night and every time my mom would drive us over those train tracks at night, I would close my eyes

Waverly is a tourist trap now. It's a shame cause I truly believe there are residual spirits there. ( if you can wade through all the bullsht that is currently there.) After all ghosts are worth money.

None of this is true. The STORY is true....as in, the story has been told. But these events never happened. With all the dinner parties these people had, the smell of the dead & mutilated would have been overwhelming. I think it was a story slaves told each other.....kind of like a, 'you know...things could be worse. I have a cousin that knew somebody ' ect, ect.....

I first learned of the Richmond vampire roughly twenty-five-thirty years ago when an issue of Richmond Style Weekly featured An Interview With a Vampire when someone claimed to be the vampire of the legend. Notably, this was a time period when Careytown, a section of Richmond sported a restaurant called L’Estat’s that also was a reference to that Anne Rice novel. Sounds like a publicity stunt to me.

Sounds like Suleyman was a Prince who lost the succession struggle, but instead of being executed as per Ottoman tradition, he figured out a way to escape to New Orleans. Of course, the new Sultan didn't forget he still had a living brother and took steps to correct that. He was buried alive because, according to Ottoman, tradition, one must not spill royal blood.
