This is really great - thank you! One thing I do differently, as I find it a little easier: I struggle to do an undercut, so instead I simply cut the cards with the pinky break and do a riffle shuffle, making sure that the selected cards goes down first, putting it to the bottom of the deck :)

Hi Dai, I’ve seen this trick performed several times, which has totally fooled me. After watching your tutorial, I was absolutely engrossed and thoroughly impressed with your explanation of the trick. You have the trick explained quite easily, but I think I’m going to need quite a few practice runs to get my brain muscle memory to remember it all. I’ve now subscribed to your channel. I will watch a lot more of your Gems. Thank you once again!

If they shuffle the deck then the two top cards could end up in the middle of the deck and spoil the trick, right?
@4suits
@4suits 7 күн бұрын
Yes, you let them shuffle before they show you the cards. Then, since they can deal cards from the middle, bottom etc (except the forst two) the cards will get mixed that way and leave the impression that the cards were thoroughly mixed 🙂

This one is different from Kostya's version, the way you cull the cards seems faster and more elegant
@4suits
@4suits 17 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, this is a timeless classic for a reason 🙂 That said, Kostya Kimlat's version is way harder, and has some huge advantages. In his version, the spectators themselves can shuffle the cards, which is amazing! They're both spectacular tricks in my opinion 😀👍

Great trick. Do you have any videos on how to correctly perform some of the techniques like the swing cut or how to undercut whilst keeping the pinky break? Or if not, could you do some? I always find that when trying to undercut the cards I lose the pinky break 😢
@4suits
@4suits 20 күн бұрын
Hi! Glad you liked it. I don't think I have videos on that specifically. Remember, when undercutting you need to transfer the pinky break to a right hand thumb break before. Also, hopefully this can help you with the swing cut: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKS7pmeZZpKSr9Usi=xw_nvgpNVFfXn3w5

The problem of the video is cleaning up after the trick. Because you can no longer show the faces of the cards because of the duplicate. Other than that the presentation was great...nice one!
@4suits
@4suits 22 күн бұрын
Thanks! 😀🙏 I don't really see the problem though. They are so focused on the backs, and in their minds it's the same nine that changed colour. From there I just go into the next trick, I've never had anyone ask to check the faces. If they insist on lookin at the faces I would just palm the nine off I guess 🙂

Yeah lovely simple card trick, that I have done many times. It doesn't always have to be a really complicated multi-phased routine with advanced card manipulation to be a great trick. The spectator isn't bothered about the method they are only interested in the card trick "result". I often intersperse a routine with a couple of self working or mathematical tricks just to keep things fresh and not samey. Thanks for showing this trick ,its a fooler to many an audience. As always thanks for your time and knowledge of where tricks originated.😀😀🙏🙏
