I use it to control the card to the bottom. Buckley calls it the “single card pass”. This is a very nice control. Thanks for all the good info bro. Have a good day.

Thanks brother! Yeah, it's an excellent control. I knew Buckley had work on it, and Marlo obviously has basically an entire book on the side steal and variations. They are slightly differently, but still, I don't need more endorsement for a sleight than that 😄 Thanks for your support my friend!

That control looks good! Might try it with bee cards or a borderless deck if you have one. But again, well executed! 😀
@4suits
@4suits 4 ай бұрын
Thank you! 😀🙏 Yeah, it's probably even more deceptive with a borderless deck! I usually only use that when I do very gambling inspired magic though

great tutorial! i've developed arthritis these last few years, so i can't do too many sleights anymore. (i've redirected my energy to misdirection, which i'm fortunately pretty good at). but i think i can still manage this one, so thank you! btw, Paul Harris in 'art of astonishment' described a very simple control where he casually tosses the cards from one hand to the other in two or three steps, landing the chosen card on top. i think it was called 'slip slop control' or something like that. i don't have the 'astonishment' books anymore, but am very interested in taking a look at that control again. do you happen to know the the method i'm describing?

I'm so glad you like it and that you think you can do it! I also like how you're focusing on your strengths and what you can do, now that you've developed arthritis, that is definitely the right mindset! Unfortunately I'm not familiar with that one! I've been wanting to get those books for a long time, but I have so many books on my shelves now that I have to read first before buying new ones 😅 But I'll let you know if I pick them up eventually and find that control!

A lovely tutorial for this card sleight. Great detail and tips. You covered all my possible questions with your detailed tutorial. The only problem that I have is that I have small hands, but with practice like with the palming I have done I will be able to do this sleight with the appropriate amount of practice. To be honest I think there are more easier ( for me) card controls but you get nowhere if you don't push yourself and practice. As always my friend thanks for your time and obvious expertise.🙂🙂🙏🙏. P.S Do you do any mem deck work as I am getting really into mem decks.

Thank you dear friend for those kind words! You're right, with enough practice I think you'll definitely get this down, even with smaller hands. There are definitely easier controls (there are so many good ones out there), but few are as efficient and direct as this one in my opinion. The only other control I know that is as direct as this one is the classic pass, and out of those two this is a lot easier to learn 🙂 Of course, it is always up to the individual if they want ro invest the time in this particular sleight, or if their time is better spent learning other stuff. Funny you should ask! 😀 I've actually been learning the Mnemonica stack lately. I have the stack down but I haven't had the time to read the book and learn some actual tricks yet, exept from a few. Which stack do you use? 😊
