Nice job. I'm looking to do very similar work to my 1979 V-22 OR. I like your T-Top... who fabricated it and how much weight did it add. I also am looking to repower - twin 115 FSs and wonder how moving the weight forward(T-Top, batteries, Helm rebuild) to re-balance the boat worked out for you. Did you encounter any 'wet foam' issues in your refit?

Your boat looks great. I really like the way you cleaned up the wiring and rigging. I'm going to use some of your ideas when I tear my boat apart next winter. The anchor locker on my Guardian 19 is similar to yours (5-sided). The original location of the hinges was along one side. The worst thing about it is the way the whole door bounces in rough water at high speeds. Maybe I ride it too hard but the bouncing has torn the screws out so I just removed the whole door and filled the screw holes. I'm still searching for a better way to put it back in. Semco looks good at first but it doesn't hold up very well - I restore about 500 pieces of teak furniture every year and I've used a lot of Semco. They make a Clear Coat that can be applied over the sealer and it will last a bit longer but still doesn't last all that long. The Clear Coat (not to be confused with their Clear-Tone which is completely useless) has a slight sheen to it which makes maintenance a bit more difficult. I only use the Clear Coat on tables or other pieces with big flat surfaces and not much in-between work. Anything you put on teak is a trade-off. The longer it lasts the harder it is to maintain. I don't put anything on the teak in my boat. The salt water and constant cleaning keeps it looking ok. It's teak, so it's not going to rot. Again, nice job on the boat. Enjoy it.

Nice mods and like your attention to details. I have a 2000 Outrage and I'm jealous of all your sweet teak!

What mounting clamps did you use for the JBL?

Just some generic one on Amazon. It faded so I got another one for this season. They are like 15 dollars.

Really nice work and great video. I recently purchased a 1985 outrage 22 that is in need of many of the upgrades you have already done. This video will be a great reference.

Do you bypass the switch on the saw and only use the vfd to start and stop it?

Hello can I see what the underside of the custom starboard bow locker looks like? I too have an outrage that used to be a cuddy and am trying to think of how to fabricate a lid, looks like yours has some sort of metal supports on the bottom of it! let me know thanks!!

It does have some square aluminum tubing. The tubes are directly below the bolts you can see from the deck side.

So when is that boat going to be up for sale 😍

Lol. This boat will most likely never be sold. The plan is to put it in storage when I get an Everglades. I hope to send it to Metan Marine one day and then surprise my daughters with it when they are older.

You could always move the hinges on the anchor locker to one side.

Cant. The bow lockers are hinged to one another. They are not tether to the boat.

@unboeing Its a 5hp baldor motor. The VFD is made by a company that no longer makes them. I got it used from a company called Southland Electrical Supply. A guy there by the name of Clyde Lewis helped me out on this unit.
