So glad to hear you have found God his might is the greatest and he tends to find his believers and followers at their lowest and darkest moments. I was also in a really dark place when I found God I was addicted to spice and weed I was consistently high the entire time I was in college, everyday for 2 years, I would party every weekend and then my dog died and my life just felt empty after his passing and one night I was done with it all I wanted to die, and for some reason I sat on my bedroom floor and begged for someone to help me balling my eyes out, a few minutes go by and I feel this force that felt like a hand on my shoulder and it lifted me up I felt this comfort I had never felt before come around me and I just knew it had to be God and when I realised what had happened I knew that it wasn't too late too change so I poured out the spice from my window prayed for the first time since primary school to thank Jesus for helping me and went to bed like I wasn't just about to end it all. p.s these images that play out from bad times in your past is Satan reminding you of your past and the guilt you feel from those times is proof that your connection with God is growing stronger. it was lovely hearing your story.

A fellow Christian here 🙌 God has done wonders in my life. Like you I came to a point in my life where I was down and didn’t know where to turn. I’d spent best part of my life raising kids (4 of them) and lost my identity. Anyway long story short and many, many ‘coincidences’ later I was in church and had been filled with the sprit. He made me realise I was not just a mother but I was a mother and my role was vital and important. I have had a total overhaul with my life and I am a completely different person, and definitely more confident. @JakeGchannel7 күн бұрын
@@hehe8231 good to see a fellow brother as well 🙏 the church is really nice the glass work is incredible there as it had many aviators over the years create their own to put on the church. The support is amazing it’s usually taken by a wing commanders as many padres are that rank where they sing and pray, afterwards they have cake and beverages to mingle with one another. Great thing about the raf is the padre has some serious footing and their words carry a lot of weight so if you have an issue that’s not being resolved (I.E the block at your phase 2 isn’t getting fixed) then they go to the station officer and it gets fixed very quick. Usually on a day it was like 20 people sometimes less sometimes more. It’s open every Sunday and you basically sign out at the guard room and walk in civies to the church for an hour or so.

@@hamza-id9zj A great question and the best answer is it’s personal to everyone. For me the RAF was not only a financial or status benefit but a place for me to serve a higher purpose while still remaining faithful to god. I always said this to people who ask: ‘but you took oath to serve the king not god’ and while this is true to some extent to me personally I swore to god first during my attestation and I’ve always said, I’ll bow before the king but only kneel before god. Hi jake, i want to apply for the ccs role. Is the minimum commitment 12 years or can i leave after 4 years?
@JakeGchannel24 күн бұрын
@@esakhan2991 that’s great to hear! So the contract length is 12 years with 6 years reserves once you leave. I believe you can leave after 4 years without having to pay anything. You have like a 3-6 month window from starting Halton and pushing into your phase 2 where you can still leave without repercussions but this might change depending on what role you do.

Hi mate, got phase one starting on the 4th. What did you turn up to basic training in? Did you turn up in a suit or smart casual?
@JakeGchannel26 күн бұрын
@@blakesblake5663 hi and I turned up sort of in between to two where I just had a shirt and nice trousers with smart shoes as well no tie or blazer.

How early could you apply for housing? Partner is currently in raf doing phase 2 and we want to try apply for phase 3 as it’s 44 weeks and we have a baby any info is appreciated
@JakeGchannel29 күн бұрын
@@amber9542 firstly congratulations on the baby hope all is going well. Secondly, he can get it in phase 2 and onwards from that point on, I would defo recommend getting the house done asap as once you have it its with you for the rest of you’s two career. It’ll take me a while to type it all out but the video I did before this is where I explained what I went through and how to apply for a house. If you still have any questions drop it there or here and I’ll try to answer it further if the video doesn’t help (hopefully it answers all your questions). Last tip, make sure you have a birth certificate (if you haven’t got one already that is) as he will defo need this for proof.
@amber954229 күн бұрын
@@JakeGchannel thank you! And congrats to yourself and your partner! Having a baby whilst in training is never easy let alone having one during basic training lol. But I’ve watched your video and passed the information to my partner to query with his line manager too see if he can apply now or not for phase 3, we unfortunately couldn’t get it in phase 2 as his training was only 16 weeks long and they require it too be longer in order to qualify for a house so doing long distance currently, which is why housing for phase 3 is so important but you’re video was really helpful to bring to attention what forms we need to be sorting out etc
@JakeGchannel28 күн бұрын
@@amber9542 thank you and yes it is defo stressful as you already know. Ahh yes that’s something I missed out, thank you for reminding me, I forgot it has to be a minimum of 6 months or more. No problem hopefully it all goes smooth for you.

hi my boyfriends about to start his basic tomorrow i was just wondering whether it was common for people to get sent things by family/loved ones while on basic that you know of, for example care packages with sweets or chocolate, cards or photos and stuff they might be needing stocked up on, or whether this would just embarrass him in front of his room mates hahah thanks
@JakeGchannel29 күн бұрын
@@livvygiulianotti1806 yes it was very common and he shouldn’t be embarrassed at all as everyone in there wants thing from their family members. Plus it’s a huge morale booster and will help him remember what he is doing it for. Please pass on my best wishes for him to pass with flying colours.

@JakeGchannel29 күн бұрын
@@TurfRenovationStevenage thank you and that’s great to hear, little bit of advice I can give is even if your fitness isn’t up to the minimum standard right now don’t let that sway you on not putting your application in (unless you have put it in already) as you’ll have at least 3-4 months to train still. The fitness isn’t until the last thing of the application. Let us know how your application goes 🙂
