Yooo, Just found this Page, also found you on instagram, messaged you there but was wondering where you buy all the floor pans and the inner rocker panel replacement panels?
@honestmileage5225Ай бұрын
Hii, i bought floor pans from allegro.pl , I think both panels were around 300 euros together. I think vwheritage have them as well. I was unable to find inner rocker panels replacement anywhere. My father just gave me some old panel he had, which i used on one side. On the other side I just fabricated panel myself. I was looking for some on the net, but without success :/

@silver750iL2 ай бұрын
Try a very light coat first to introduce the paint to the panel, then if no reactions go a bit heavier and so forth. The crazing is more a reaction to whats underneath than your panel being clean. It can be difficult to understand but if it happens again use a bar coat primer before the normal primer.

Thanks for your question. Reason for not changing the whole panel is that I believe that original panel (when its not corroded) is in better quality than replicas. So I am trying too keep as much original panels as possible.

Do you normally run two sets of wheels where you are? Winter and summer?
@honestmileage52256 ай бұрын
Yes, I am located in central Europe (Slovakia) and we run winter and summer tires depending on season. Winter tires are mandatory if there is a snow layer on the road.

@honestmileage52257 ай бұрын
Thanks :) Actually I buy parts from different sources, ebay, allegro.pl, local shops. Chassis leg was quite difficult to get. Is no longer available anywhere. I got it from another country, where someone didnt finish his restoration and was selling the part locally. Fortunately one of my friends live there, so he was able to pick it up personally. Other than that i suggest to search constantly on web. Or you can maybe find someone at your area who is parting out shell or other things from golf.

Metal facing outside like arches or sills are bought from different places (local shops, allegro, ebay), but the small parts like reinforcements inside are just metal sheets bent by myself.

this look like its the garret t3 turbo which is quite big and is very laggy. Some of these engines come with this turbo but the never models got the garret t2 or k14 which is quite smaller and spools very fast and its responsive unlike this one. But if you willing to turn up the fuel and the boost then this turbo is the way to go.
