There's a person in my discord server who built a rupture team that supports the new Sinclair, and while it starts out a little slow, by the time you're activating Sinclair's conditionals, the targets will have so much count that it won't matter. And this Sinclair is actually really good at just dealing damage in general. It's a great ID to just throw into a team if you're not worried about building a status setup.

Solo Lantern Don (with Talisman) literally does what Devyat Sinclair does (minus Defense down), but better. AND WITH SELF HEALING.
@kaskozhuk41584 күн бұрын
The reason I never mention Solos in these videos is because I do not analyze IDs based on their capacity to solo, since solo is not a way in which the game is intended to be played (more power to you if you do though) And this video is analyzing the strength of the new ID, not some arbitrary situation in which I have to compare it to other Rupture IDs who are being boosted by Talisman

Willing to bet 95% of people shitting on Devyat Sinclair haven't played him. Like, he's perfectly fine. He's fast thanks to his haste buffs, he clashes well, and he does a ton of damage. That's all you need in an ID, really. His Devyat gimmick doesn't even matter because fights are going to be long over before he starts taking damage. Y'all have fun resetting for the ideal setup and chipping away at enemies to reach 99 rupture stacks to make the endorphins in your brain pop off. I get it, it's satisfying. As for me? I don't really care about his 15/3 conditional because everything's going to die in a couple hits regardless.
@tiedgamer19484 күн бұрын
Ye people just say it bad. He a good dmg dealer. He may not be the best damaging sinclair (N corp). He is 100% more consistent than him. There also no risk until it reach 30 stack. (Which you still can use him up to 50 stack for me) He alone can make any boss have insane rupture count as long as it do not hit the condition. What make it special is that he do both of them. Rupture Count and a dps. Also in super good in wave battle.

Honestly, Devyat Sinclair is, IMO, a bad rupture ID. He's a good ID, and he's an ID that makes use of rupture to augument its strength, but when it comes to actually being part of a rupture team and trying to maintain your lovely rupture stack? He's anti-synergetic on so many levels that its not even funny.
@Heroman30034 күн бұрын
To clarify, while he does inflict a lot of count, the conditionals he has for it make it so that that count infliction is basically worthless, as he will destroy any potency you stacked. You need 15 Trunk to start going positive as him, and by time you reach that, your team should really already be at 15/3 conditional, meaning by then Sinclair will just drain the stack, giving worthless (compared to rupture count lost) Defense Level Down in return. And his coin arrangements, alongside the fact that the 15/3 conditional is On Use means that despite having seemingly good-looking count applications on Skill 1 and Skill 2, they'll never be useful for actually maintaining an existing stack - at 3 count or above, they'll just drain it, and at 2 or 1... they'll also drain it, because count infliction is on a second coin on both of those skills, and count is inflicted after its taken, meaning that neither skill 1 nor skill 2 can actually make up for rupture drain, they just reset it. And his skill 3 only becomes positive when you hit 30 courier trunk, by which point you just want him gone asap, before he just self-destructs or corrodes. His kit looks like it has a good amount of count, but between conditionals and coin arrangements, pretty much the only time he's at all useful is if you lost your rupture stack mid-fight and need to start building it up from scratch. Which is something you, as a rupture team, never want to happen at all in the first place.
@SapphireCarbuncle0094 күн бұрын
Sinclair's retreat does function a little differently from Rodion's, and that might actually be the key to using him effectively. Build up his Courier Trunk, then when he hits 15 Stacks retreat him for Devyat Rodion so she gets the benefits and ramps up. Only issue is that it involves benching Rodion which isn't that desirable of a strat

I'm adding this comment since some people seem to not understand the context. I am calling Devyat Sinclair a good Rupture ID. Nowhere in that statement am I attempting to state that he is better than Talisman, nor am I comparing him to Talisman in any way. Any assumption that I am doing so is entirely on you. Also freeze pointed it out, but the same turn passive activation of EGO only works if you actually corrode; it doesn't work with an Overclock. That said, I still think the corrosion is pretty decent, and 10 resources is not overly expensive for basically doubling the effective parts of the EGO.
@strobelightlobotomy4 күн бұрын
my main issue with devyat sinclair is that although he is a good generalist, his nieche in rupture is really odd - after hitting 15/3 rupture, he just kind of stops being a rupture id? having no count afterwards and this amount of coins doesn't really help

Honestly Sinclair ID would have been alot cooler if his rupture condition is check in real time. For example if he use skill 1 on a 15:3 rupture his first coin inflict defense lvl down and set rupture to 15:2 then condition become unmet and his second coin inflict count Wouldn't have been strong enough to not bench Talisman but would have been fun still.😅

Weirdly enough retreating sinclair can be used, as you can make him start a stack, then sending him off once he can't contribute to the rupture stack in a positive way. Not exactly practical for many, but might be the intended use for the ID, but that is just speculation.
@tiedgamer19484 күн бұрын
I can see it being good with multiple tanks boss. Making one boss stack with 20 Rupture Count and other 4 can just focus on other boss. It also good with 2-3 wave fight. With boss at the end kinda like Ricardo. I say it quite good.

Sinclair deals good damage and has some use getting the stack started but since he goes negative 15-3 im not feeling him. When talisman is free rupture deyvat is kind of a hard sell. I've heard the opinion that in multi-target scenarios he could be pretty good and I guess I could agree with that? Oufi heath can now increase sloth damage and fragile is a major plus in his favor. People say he doesnt fit in meta tremor but this ego is 👌

@@weferin through it's true, you need 4 turns, to get from 0 to 15 trunks and 5 turns to get to the 30 trunks. If we assume, that ids can suffer a little bit it gives us (4 + (5 + 1)*2) * 2 = 32 turns. If i'm correct, it's quiet enought for any existing encounter right now.

Calling devyat sinclair a powerful new id for rupture is a bit of a stretch. Especially since he is just worse for rupture than a 00
@tipherethscrub9824 күн бұрын
I wouldn't call it a stretch. Talismans is just stupidly strong, and shouldn't be the standard for other rupture IDs. This is still the most count positive ID in the game as long as you're not just really dumb and don't pay attention to the count when using skills.

Not weak, its just that it has the same problem any 000 sinclair ID will have, that being being compared to N sinclair, at that point it matters less how good it is and moreso how compares to another previously existing ID. Devyat Sinclair is being compared to talisman sinclair in this case, strong? Maybe, more than talisman? Now there is the problem that people have, as they give priority tp this question rather than the previous one.
@tipherethscrub9824 күн бұрын
@LeafGreen250 Trust me, I get it. I play talisman sinclair on-field more than most people, I know all his weird quirks and his synergies and all the ways to get to 5 talismans that people dont frequently use. And he's very strong! But Limbus is not a game that demands the strongest at all times. Something being stronger does not mean Devyat lacks a place. Devyat Sinclair is a much more comfortable ID to use than both Talismans and NCorp (who have learning curves of varying degrees depending on the player) and requires significantly less factors to be used effectively than talisman's passive (which can easily become frustrating with bad rng changing who it targets from lost clashes and such, leading to more retries than might be necessary) The insane, absurd standards that people completely arbitrarily impose on IDs is incredibly frustrating and speaks more on their overreliance on being told what the best option is because of being unable to use anything else, which is also ironic considering this is one of the most "ID completionist" communities I've ever been in where people feel the need to own every ID in the game. He's not as strong as either of those, but this is not a game that ever demanded that strength. 30 turns railway and 99 turns railway has no difference other than useless, empty pride.

@kaskozhuk41585 күн бұрын
That is a very viable way of doing it, but since other units also gain the damage bonus (even if only half of it) and tend to do more damage overall, it's actually more consistent to have non-W Corp units first due to their higher natural damage output. Plus, IDs like the MultiCracks spend Charge on far more skills, meaning there's a lot less of an opportunity cost for them, even if they only get half the damage bonuse.
