Just spend about 5 to 10 minutes/ day with your surfskate on a concrete ramp doing snap. You will see a better and better performance in waters.

I've been recently working on my back hand buttom turn, and when leaning to the lip although trying to turn hips and face to the face, I've found it hard to move and often overrun tbe lip with leaving tbe wave behind me. What would you recommend to do better? :)

Hi man thanks for the extensive reviews! I have a question for you: Im 5.11, around 66 kg and mainly surf mushy small wves. I would say my level is just a bit below you, but similar. I bought the bobby quad in 5.6 but missing a bit of paddle power and dont want to buy it bigger. Im considering the mashup in 5.7 or 5.8. Do you think the paddle power and increase in the mashup is worth it? Do you think the mashup grovels as well as the bobby quad? Thank in advance!

What kind of traction pad do you have on that board? Is that one of the FireWire Traction pads?

Sick review. Sold me. I’m going to be surfing urban Sydney a bit and the northern beaches so this board will be mad for the quiver. Have you found a better board for urban surf yet?

Very good video..which is the part of the front leg when rotating through the upper body? Must rotate the leg with strength or does the leg follow the rotation of the body?

I can do awesome backhand bottom turns but absolutely suck at forehand, I can never rotate the board enough or I bog a rail

I usually surf small waves, mostly point breaks in SoCal, I have a 6'2" Mashup by Firewire, it's 44 Liters Epoxy, and I'm an advanced Beginner I'd say, surfing on and off for about 2 years now. Living an hr from the ocean makes things more difficult to stay consistent at times, but I do feel the board bogs since it's got a pretty flat rocker, harder to do pocket surfing, mostly just down the line pumping top to bottom with light carving on occasion. Would you recommend a different board to learn more pocket surfing?

Another good tip, practice with clenched fist for a few strokes then not, helps to train how to use your forearm and positioning, which generates more thrust,.Bit like flippers the tip of the flipper is your hand , forearm is the body of the flipper...And also over the barrel elbows up, get a better entry angle, into the business end of the stroke......
